The dormitory is a bit small but for one or two night it's perfectly fine.

Some people took pleasure in cooking at 6 AM something like bacon, and one guy who was leaving at 4 AM woke me up at 3.30 AM, even though the door to my private room was closed of course. He was stomping for one hour in the corridor, then when he finally left someone else woke up - the cycle continues. So, I don’t know if I can call it a place where you can relax fully - doors and walls are thin - you’ll hear everything everywhere - please have earplugs ready. Also even though I had a separate room, it had no window, so, there was no air to breath, and opening the door all the time was uncomfortable. Note that if this might be an issue for you.

The receptionist girl is really nice and helped me with this and that, some things that I asked her about and even let me check-in a bit earlier. The place itself is located right next to the station “Kagoshima chuo eki mae”, so, it’s great if you want to go somewhere else from there by shinkansen or by bus. There are 2 showers, which is good, and toilets look nice and clean.

There was no light in the bed and little room for luggage in the shared room. The kitchen was a bit too small, even for one person, let alone for many. The eating space was a bit small, too. It's not a problem if you're planning to eat out.

The location is very good, really close to Kagoshima chuo station. The bed was comfortable, with an outlet to charge my phone and a curtain for privacy. The people are friendly and accommodating. I could leave my luggage there after the check-out to enjoy the city a bit more.

The whole place smelled musty, especially the dorm room. Cleanliness is extremely important to me and the smell caused some discomfort. It was the first thing I noticed when I walked into the hostel. Is there mold in the hostel?

It has a great central location. The staff are friendly and helpful, the receptionist was nice enough to make a call on my behalf in Japanese. Finally, the common room is very homey and comfortable. Fun decor.

Our room didn't have a curtain so it didn't get dark. The beds were basically like lying on a wooden plank, but to be fair, that's the case in 90% of Japanese hostels. Probably below the average Japanese hostel experience in terms of cleanliness and comfort.

It's absolutely an alright place to stay. Don't go if you're desperate to meet new friends. Although we had a couple of fun talks, it's mostly a quiet hostel. 100% value for money and super conveniently located near the train station. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Cheap washing and drying.

The place was too packed and the air circulation in dormitory room was not enough. The oshiri cleaning system were not functioning in both of the toilets. There were no personal light option near beds.

The futons are a little thin and the building is older.

Located just behind the train/bus station, where you can take a Kagoshima City Bus for ¥600 and stop at various scenic areas (buses run every 30 minutes). In the large private room, there are 3 beds: bunk beds and a loft. The air conditioning /heater worked well!

I did not know that they don‘t provide any towels, so my first night there I was without towel and toothbrush… the next day I bought myself some. The light was always on in the room, it was not a bright light but a small one. It was nice on one hand because at night you could see when you had to leave the bed but at the same time the first night it disturbed me a little bit.

Very cute little sharehouse in the center of Kagoshima! The staff was very friendly and cleaned everything regularly! I was in a female only room and I felt comfortable. Washing machine was for free! Drier was 300 Yen, but that is pretty normal everywhere in Japan. I met a lot of interesting and fun people. The hostel had a shared kitchen and living room so in the evening we could sit together and meet new people! It felt very cozy!

I felt unsafe as some old poor people live in the dorm room and some of Japanese sighs in the building are about thefts, which are not translated into English. Be careful with your stuff if you stay here. I guess this is the cheapest place to sleep in in Kagoshima city and poor people who can’t afford to pay rent come here.
