Beautiful Japanese cultural experience. We booked in room massages in the evening before visiting the public bath. Breakfast was amazing. Our favourite accommodation so far. Worth every penny.

The public transport was not very close and difficult to get to if it was raining.

There was plenty of choice for breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful when we needed to order a taxi. It was nice and clean and very roomy. You were provided with Yukata and cold use the common bath.

Can’t think of anything I’d change

Beautiful location near the river, and whilst we walked everywhere the loop bus from the station stopped nearby. Rooms were amazingly comfortable and spacious in a traditional Japanese style. Buffet breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly, polite and helpful.

Not very convenient to go to/from the station and a bit remote from the commercial area of Kanazawa.

The room(s) extremely spatious, very nice traditional interior design. Facing the river. A place where you cannot hold from taking lots of pictures in the room :) The sento (public bath) was also nice & useful after long walks. Very good breakfast. Sustainability matters to them and they seem to support running ;)

The facilities are great, the old style rooms and the communal bath excellent.The breakfast was excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful.

The size of the rooms were amazing! I also appreciated their help in arranging a New Year’s Eve dinner for us and allowed us to pay for all of it on credit card. The New Year’s breakfast was fantastic!

An excellent combination of traditional Japanese rooms and hospitality and western comfort (beds, tables and chairs in the breakfast room). Close to the loop bus station and magnificent view over the river

nothing ! everything was perfect! maybe I would add some additional non-Japanese options for breakfast. but everything was ver tasty !

I liked everything ! the room was very big and comfortable. great bed and traditional service ! the staff was super kind , very helpful with our requests and available for any questions. breakfast was really good as well. not in city center but well connected with nice view and peace and quiet, much needed !

The main living room was in the traditional style with tatami matting and options to sleep on the matting or in a separate bedroom. It was very spacious and included our own outdoor setting, bathtub and garden, just beautiful. Japanese gowns and socks and slippers were also provided for our relaxation, making us feel very special. The hotel was located on the river, providing a calm outlook and pretty walk into the city. Breakfast was included and changed daily, although the basics remained the same and we were given plenty of choices between a western or Japanese breakfast. We ate overlooking the river, again a great view. The desk staff were very helpful, especially when we required a taxi to the trainstation on the morning of the Kanazawa Marathon. They performed a miracle and booked one for us which made our trip much more manageable. Loved staying at this property, a class act, we highly recommend you stay too.

The location was hard to reach with public transport.

Traditionally furnished and spacious room with a nice terrace and water view. Beautiful yukatas were provided. We could have a private tea ceremony in our room with all facilities and sweets provided. Good onsen - small but not crowded so it was enough.

The onsen was great and the rooms were very comfortable

The rooms are beautiful and the onsen was incredible. You could stand outside in a balcony to cool off. The staff was friendly and helpful. Downtown and the castle/garden area is about 30 minutes walking from the hotel, making very convenient!

Nothing... everything about the room and ryukan was wonderful!

First of all, our hosts were exceptionally nice and accommodating. We needed to check out, but weren't ready to leave Kanazawa so they kept our luggage for a few hours until we were ready to go back to the train station, that way we could enjoy visiting Kanazawa without carrying our luggage. Such a nice gesture! The breakfast was delicious! They had traditional foods and some more traditional European/American items... we enjoyed both immensely. We would stay here again on our next visit to Kanazawa!!

Very nice stay!! This hotel is in a traditional Japanese style, from two sides of our room, we can see the landscape outside, excellent view. It's super clean and relaxing, which helps recovery from tiredness during the daytime. We also like the breakfast very much, the eating environment is quiet, slow and considerate.

the staff was amazing. the rooms were suites and so lovely looking out over river. we slept in the amazing beds with windows open. so nice!!!! they recommended and book us a restaurant for 12 one night that was the best sushi I have ever had!

Loop bus to get there has limited hours of running. Be aware that you might need a cab to get there during off hours.

Something to cover the light from the windows would be nice. The traditional paper covers woke us up at 5 am

The room is very spacious and traditional. The onsen is big and very nice. The beds offer The choice between the Western and the Japanese style. The view is very relaxing.
