Futon was a bit too firm for me. Sound travels through the thin walls so you can hear it whenever doors are sliding or people are walking around, especially in the early morning or evening. If you are a light sleeper, it may bother you.

Good location , walking distance to most sites. Hosts were very kind and friendly.

Some sort of large unit outside bedroom window making a loud whirring noise kept me awake . The location was a bit of a challenge to get to main train station but a local resident who was outside his house saw I was having troubles working out what bus stop and went out of his way to help me actually taking me to right bus stop and helping me with times. He even asked nearby workmen for pen and paper so I could right times down

The hosts were v friendly. Dog v cute. Bed super comfy. Location in a lovely area of kanazawa

I did not like some sort of air conditioning huge unit right outside my bedroom window which i could hear whirring quite loudly and it kept me awake, there only seemed to be one toilet and one shower room for us all to share, the hosts and other guests, it was quite some distance from the main station, someone in the neighbourhood helped me find the correct bus stop i needed to get to my next accommodation in the evening which was so nice of him, he lived near the bus stop i was looking at which turned out to be no good, he was outside his house and offered to find the right bus stop with me

I liked the rooms and the dog is super cute, i liked we could use the kitchen if we wanted, the house was very near an interesting part of kanazawa - with all the temples etc

The hosts are a very friendly couple who will try to help you with anything you ask. The house is very traditional and there is a lot of attention given to details. The location is only a 7 minute walk to one of the traditional districts and everything else is easily accessible by bus.

Absolutely the best of Japanese hospitality. The traditional room is huge, clean, and nice decorated. The owners are supernice, friendly, and helpful. It's actually their home transformed into nice budget ryokan. They even gave me a small handmade present when saying goodbye, which was so touching. The location is great, very close to the famous old district. Three local sentos (public baths) are just behind the corner. 10 minutes to a big supermarket. Everything is perfect, thank you.

The owners are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple and delicious. The location is great, next to one of the most historical neighbourhoods in Kanazawa. There is also a nice sento a couple of minutes away. And of course, Gao is a very good girl!

This house is really cute and well located, also the host is really kind and willing to help you anytime. Gaoo is a cute dog there, and everything you need is there even a really good breakfast if you had few yens. I felt at home.

I am not used to sleeping on the floor, so it is a personal thing. Other people might like it. If you find the floor is hard, you can ask for more futon.

The room is small, located on the second floor of the creaky narrow, steep staircase. There are few amenities, and the futon is very thin. Not exactly comfortable. But at this price, you can't complain too much.

The hosts were immensely kind and helpful. The guest house is in a good location. The old samurai district, markets, or station are all a brief walk away. Lastly, the room was clean and warm. And of course, Gao the dog is lovley to meet.

A lovely accommodation! Simple, clean, and very, very authentic. The owners were incredibly kind and generous and made us feel very very welcome (and they have the cutest Shiba Inu)! And you will be sleeping in an authentic Japanese home. Thank you! We’ll be back next time we’re in Kanazawa.

Can't fault it at budget price.⁹

Property listing correct , Japanese style home accommodation, conveniently bus stop only metres from door for link bus routes that service all the areas a tourist wish to see. Owners take time to assist you travelling around Kanasazawa. Property very clean with laundry facilities, tea, coffee etc.

I liked everything couldn't find fault.

Everything if o e is looking for the old Japanese culture this property has it. I was romancing Japan with the movie Samarui it fits perfect except for indoor bath, then outdoor. Management are polite, humble and really go out of their way to assist, even the staff, same. Just nice people. If I could rate my experience on financial cost I'd give it a 11. It's conveniently located to bus stop only about 120mtrs or less. Great restaurant doing blow wish same distance where locals eat. Hopefully when I return to Japan I'll find a vacancy, town and Rykson a true gem. Lacquerware bit expensive though. I didn't buy but as a gift for staying I was given lacquer chopsticks. That's what I mean, a true gem. Enjoy as I did.

The hosts are wonderful…so friendly and helpful. Gao is adorable, and a very good boy…I loved meeting him out on his morning walkies each day. The room was lovely, and I had all the facilities I needed…it’s also in a really nice location. My favourite place I have stayed in Japan.
