How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room is a little challenging to allow 2 big luggage to be opened side by side.
Apart from the main entrance, there is also an alternative access to hotel along Tanukikoji shopping street which provided much convenience. This hotel is within walking distance to Susukino and other shopping area as well.

It is a bit too busy, too crowded. Breakfast was ok but not sure it is worth, probably if I would have known I would have not taken breakfast.
Japanese room was really good, bed extremely comfortable, slept really good!! Onsen a plus. Location was great. Hotel is overall ok, staff super nice!

The reason for my rating is inflexible tattoo policy, I really hoped to join onsen but since I have two big tattoos I was not allowed to do so. No bath in the room didn't allow me to fully enjoy my stay. If you have 2 or more big tattoos I don't recommend visiting this place. As soon as they change their policy in regards to this issue, this hotel would deserve a 10.
Cozy lounge, nicely decorated spacious room, location is good as well. Hotel is easy to find and staff speaks good English.

I like the wood flooring in the room but wish the cleaness can be improved especially kids are walking barefoot
Location is very good. Just nearby the shopping area and only few mins away from the Susukino or Odori Station. Hotel staffs are caring and thoughtful. Appreciate to their support when needed.

the reception can barely understand english & they are not well adept if restaurants are open at 9pm at night the night we checked in, they told us everything is closed but when we went out on the other side of the hotel many restos are open we were able to eat dinner
we love this place?! location is easy to go back in the hotel in the middle of day when u get tired. I would stay here again. Amenities are good too

The rooms are a little tight if you have a lot of luggage like we did, however for any bulky bags that you don't need to access during your stay (i.e. ski bags), the reception team allowed us to keep it in the luggage storage room :)
Great hotel! Super convenient location in the centre of Sapporo, with friendly and helpful staff and great facilities for guests to use! As well as being close to restaurants and nightlife, this hotel is just around the corner from an airport shuttle 'limousine' bus stop. When we arrived, there was a mix up with our room (we had been given a 2-person one instead of a 3-person), which was swiftly resolved by the lovely reception team!

No complains. It was great value.
Fantastic location right next to the shopping alley. It was great with kids and in bad weather. The guest lounge was also great, with drinks vending machine and free ice cream!

Room is small. Window cannot fully open. Only can open 3 inches. Room has no view, only can see wall of other buildings. This hotel lost out on room window only, if not, they can deserve much higher rating.
Good location, back door access to Tanuki Koji shopping streets. Lounge at 2nd floor is good. Love the free drink machine and free tidbits. Well done. This hotel deserves high rating.

The room was a little noisey during the day. sounded like beds/chairs being moved.
the location is within walking distance to a lot of the attractions I wanted to see. The staff are very friendly and there is a snack/rest room on the second floor which is great after the onsen. There is free ice cream and drinks in the snack room.
