Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaNot very clean. Impossible to call a taxi if you want to visit objects far away. There can be a normal table and few more chairs in the room.
Everything was ok. Nice place, location, room.

SloveniaIt was a bit hard comunicating due to the lack of English skills. You are not allowed to enter the pool. The walls are rather thin so you can hear the sounds from the neighbours.
The house is located in a very quite area. The location is near the beach, which you can reach by walking.

Not a resort- it is an extended house in the middle of a residential area with a small plunge pool(with a swimming prohibited sign?) . Staff were fine but a little on the cross side - the lady was quite sharp with us for forgetting to remove our shoes. Other than that the accommodation itself was lovely, spotlessly clean and comfortable and good value for Kamakura. Breakfast was homemade granola or Japanese style breakfast and was all good. Proximity to the beach was good, but about a fifteen minute walk to the main parts of Kamakura.

BrazilThere's a very convenient and cozy shared living room with free water, tea, and coffee. The shower is excellent, the room is spacy, and our host was so helpful and friendly with all of us. Japanese-style breakfast was awesome.

SpainIt's a bit of a hike to all the big sights of Kamakura. We like walking so it wasn't too much of a problem for us. It is about a 20-minute walk from the main train station. There are plenty of public transportation options nearby if you would prefer to travel by bus.
A great location if you want to be close to the beach. It is about a twenty-minute walk from the train station. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The common space has free tea, coffee, and snacks. Unfortunately, we had to leave early the next day so were not able to have the breakfast of homemade granola. I imagine this place has great atmosphere in the summer. The coffee shops along the beach are excellent!

RussiaI would have preferred bed to the sofa transforming to bed and futon. Breakfast is nice but quite small: peace of bread and a bit granola with 200ml of milk.
Very simple but nice room. Location is very close to the beachfront.

JapanHaving granola for breakfast was good but it would have been so much better if they offered a typical Asian breakfast with rice. The pool area can be a great spot for photo ops but there were barricades placed. The rooms are not noise proof so we could hear the sounds and footsteps from the upper room.
The entire facility was clean and cozy and it is best for families or groups of people. We felt very comfortable during the entire stay. The staff were friendly though they could not speak English fluently, they provided us with great service in general. Rooms were large enough to fit in 5 or even 6 people.

United StatesI have no complaints. I wish we could've stayed longer.
This was such a good find. It was very bed-and-breakfast-esque. The room was spacious, with a nice sized shower and bathroom. There was a living space with a tv, kitchen seating, and access to appliances. It was a five minute walking distance from restaurants and Kamamura Zaimokuza Beach. Breakfast was provided, and I recommend the Japanese-style breakfast, prepared by the owner herself. She was very nice, quite amiable, and accomodating. We messaged ahead to see about shipping our luggage, and even though her rececption area was small, she allowed us to ship our luggage there and held it for us. She was so fun to talk to, and she was always willing to help with whatever issues we had. I really enjoyed my stay, and would recommend this location to anyone staying in Kamakura.

JapanIt wasnt the resort's fault but the room above us had kid and even til evening we can hear that kid running around the room. 😅 You cannot swim in the pool but that's okay for us because we went there to swim at the beach. 😊
I like how cozy the room was! My 3 yold daughter super liked it and wanted to move and live there! Hahaha We went a little early around 2pm and they were kind to let us check-in. It was raining too so we really appreciate the gesture. The breakfast was so-so but it felt that your grandmother cooked it for you. My husband finished the food without even talking! Hahaha he was so serious. 😅 We will come back and stay here.

Japan1. The breakfast was set 8:30am-9:00am in the dinning/kitchen 1st floor area but since we went 8:35am, they did not allow us to eat in dinning table ang delivered the food to the room without proper eating amenities for the kids. 2. They were not accommodating from the start, when they saw that we have kids who are 4 yrs old, 3 yrs old, 5 yrs old and 8 yrs old, they immediate told us that the room was strictly for 4 persons but we insisted that they are just small kids and maybe we could add an extra charge for the 2 small kids. So we paid 3000 yen for the 2 kids for a total of 2 adults, one 8 yrs old, one 5 yrs old, one 4 yrs old, and one 3 yrs old. 3. When we arrived there at 3pm, of course the kids immediately went in front of pool and very excited but there was this guy who went out the house and talked w/ the lady receptionist or maybe they are both the owners who stays in the house and run their business, they told the kids to be quiet. Thats only 3pm that time and the kids voices are not so loud even though they are excited. This guy immediately smoke near the pool even though the kids were there. A bad experience for us. So we decided to went out from 4pm to 11pm so the kids will be tired and will just sleep there by once we get back at 11pm. After that day, they made a breakfast schedule for us from 8:30-9am, we did not go down to the kitchen at exactly 830am because there still guests who wre there,so we decided to be there at 8:35am but the staff told us the they cannot accommodate us anymore because we are late by 5mins. So they decided to bring the food upstairs and the kids ate on the floor. We treated them nice yet they did not treat us as a family guest. We went from nakano city all they way to their guest house for 2-3 hours travel time. Very painful experience for us. They should know how to prioritize children. 3. The 2 square meter small pool is also dirty. Its just good in the picture.

CanadaThe description is not accurate. The description says 5 futons, but it's 2 high beds, 1 sofa under the bed and two futons under the bed. There are not enough room to setup the two futons so we let the kids sleep on there since they are short. Also, the photo show a pool and that's why we choose to stay there. But the pool is for view only and can't use.
