Our stay was absolutely delightful. The room was lovely, beautiful and cozy and everything was immaculately clean. The bathtub did us very well and it was so relaxing! We loved the shared area where you can make your matcha tea and relax with the garden view. The halfboard dinner & breakfast was exceptional and the service of the staff was amazing! Thank you for making our stay memorable.

Lovely staff, staff were excellent. First hotel that has yukata available that were bigger than L size for us tall and broad Irish people. The snacks and drinks in the room were a nice touch. The kaiseki dinner was excellent and the breakfast the following morning was better. Loved the tub in our room, so luxurious.

Beautiful small ryokan with a central garden and lovely room with a deep cedar bath. Provide clothing to wear in the ryokan and to dinner. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast meals were very nice as well.

This ryokan was one of the most welcoming stay I’ve experienced. The staff had an impeccably friendly and helpful attitude. And the half board dinner and breakfast was such a special experience. One of the best meals I’ve had.

Amazing service! We stayed at this Ryokan for 3 nights with breakfast and dinner. They ask you each time when you would like dinner and breakfast to suit you. Mind you, their breakfast and dinner are cooked by the chef so it takes some time. My room was pretty big for a Ryokan. They have a lounge for you to enjoy tea, coffee and an outlook into the middle garden for some mediation. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there

The bed (as most beds I’ve noticed in hotels in japan) was a little stiff and as a side sleeper it was a little difficult for me to fall asleep but otherwise an enjoyable experience.

Upon arrival and throughout the stay the staff were exceptionally welcoming and also spoke some English which was helpful. The wooden tub was amazing and the grounds are well kept. The included Japanese breakfast was also very good - I wish I stayed longer.

Beautiful and serene property. Loved the little library room looking on the garden. Enjoyed the keiseki beef meal and dining ambiance. The service was excellent.

The quiet and comfortable ambience of the property. Staff can converse in various languages including English & Mandarin and make you feel at home. The bath which is private onsen-like with cypress bath tub is clean. The breakfast is also very delicious.

The staff were so nice and very welcoming. The rooms were spacious and so comfortable, I loved the design of the property, it was so quiet and I loved the traditional aspects of each area and corner of the stay. The food in general exceeded my expectations. It was very traditional Japanese fare and some of the best food I had in Japan. I would not hesitate to stay here again when next I'm in Kyoto.

It is a little pricey to my budget but it is such a great experience.

The service is phenomenal. The staffs are very kind and considerate. The Kaiseki course is beautiful, refine, and delicious.
