Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Hong KongMinor things like: Mainly Japanese TV channels, the Pheonix channel wasn't working and just one western movie channel (the western movies could be dubbed in Japanese). Some bad smell on the floor near the window. The room isn't dark enough in the morning because of the binds.
Very good location with walking distance to trains, shopping and dining areas in Kyoto, especially very close to Gion. The staff are friendly and helpful. Good room size in Japanese hotel standards.

Good hotel, but more upscale and more western style. The location was great! Nearby the river and Gion. We stayed at Candeo later which felt like a big walk always. Good but pricey massage. Great shower.

HungaryOur room was really small. We were dissapointed because of the size of the room. With 2 big luggage, there were no place left to sit or to do anything else beside sleeping. There were no place to put our clothes. The really tiny closet wasnt enough only for our jackets. This room is no good for more than 2 nights. Very disappointed. The room alway looked like a big mess beacuse there were no enough space.

What did we like? Absolutely everything! This is an amazing location for exploring the city, the geisha district, 2 metro/train stations in about 3 minutes walk, so easy for reaching all tourist locations. Just across the river from Pontocho street, which you will want to visit for dining, and only 8 minutes away from Gion, THE tourist attraction in Kyoto. The room we got was SO spacious, it had an extra seating area to enjoy a cup of tea, which was all complementary.

The location of the hotel was close to so much. Walking distance to Gion, Nishki market and the local train. The hotel room felt like I walked into a local's apartment. It had a lot of character but was modern. I booked the breakfast package and was not disappointed. There was enough variety for most. If you stay here you must try the spa services. I had a very relaxing massage they day before I departed. I would definitely stay here again.

This was the most comfortable room we were able to get in Japan. The bed and pillow were like clouds. The checkout time was 12pm which helped immensely. Overall great experience. Definitely recommend.
