It was a little expensive but I think it is because of the season (sakura season). It could have a vertical mirror instead of horizontal. It was not so convenient to have the washing machines at the kitchen because of the hour restriction. But I am glad that it was two of them.

The hotel has a good location, it is near to bus station, subway station and main streets. The staff were amazing and thoughful, they asked us if we had a good trip, they congratulated us for our wedding, they gave us beauty masks, bath powder... We had a wonderful reception! The hotel structure is a little old but the room was spacious and clean! The room had good shampoo and lotions! I love it. The tv was smart and we could watch netflix in our account. I appreciated it! The hotel had bikes for rental and free umbrellas! We had Breakfast at the hotel and it was fair! It was well prepare and had local stuff.

Lovely big room. Excellent cleaning and front staff. Location is excellent. We were surprised at the amount of the city tax though. It seemed very high.

My room window was blocked by a big building so no view or sunlight coming in.

The room was quite spacious and had a closet!! Very rare to see one in Japan especially at hotels. Clean and nice. Free tasty coffee from the machine.

Breakfast in Japan is complicated as a foreigner but in Hana it was good. The area is small so it can be crowded but the food is great.

The only criticism is the fee the hotel charges for an early check-in: yen 3000 for three hours. The entire hotel was empty, rooms were available and still they felt it necessary to charge. This is encountered frequently in Japan and hotels should rethink their policy in this respect.

For the price, this hotel is hard to beat. Reasonable size room, quiet, the breakfast (yen 1200) is perfectly ok (coffee is a small negative). Possibility to rent a bike for parts of the day.

The only issue I had with the trip was the quality of the pillows provided in the rooms.

I loved the atmosphere and how relatively close Hana Hotel is near attractions and shrines.

The bed was quite stiff and uncomfortable. Also, the parking spot was not located at the hotel (however, giving credit to the close distance in finding a nearby parking location (Walking is mandatory)).

The room was spacious compared to the pricing and location. Also, the hotel was very accessible to public transportation (Subways). Plus, The location was very close to tourist attractions and restaurants.

It would be better if its facilities are renovated. When I turned on the air conditioner it caused me a headache.

Only 2 coin operated washing machines which you cannot use during breakfast or lunch as they are in the dining room. So as availability is very limited, they are always in use unless you sit by them and wait (not an option for me when I am on holiday).

Only 2 washer-dryers, so one night we weren't able to wash clothes as we'd hoped. Decor was fine, but a little dated in places. Breakfast was basic, so we only had it on the first day.

Our room was a good size, free drinks were available from machines in the dining area, there were washer-dryers on site, location was good (near a metro station, coffee shops and some top attractions), staff were very helpful and friendly. Free bottles of water provided if we didn't have our room cleaned every day.

Beds were too soft for us, there was a bit of a musty smell but not too bad. The laundry machines are 2 in 1 wash/drying and the drying process is very expensive as you need at least 500 yen and 2.5 hours to dry a normal load of laundry. Plus the washing time/money.

Perfect location, friendly staff and free amenities and coffee. Ask for bath salts, they’re amazing and free. We took lots of soothing baths after long days walking. The foot massage machine in every room is really cool.

Breakfast choice was limited. Didn't understand the room cleaning arrangements, so ended up with many towels!

Good location, few minutes walk from Pontocho and it's many eateries, and very convenient for Sanjo station. Very friendly reception staff.
