The property is located in a beautiful position that gave us outstanding views of Mt Fuji on a clear day. We loved having our own private outdoor spa bath and enjoyed using the private onsens too. The free ramen at 10:30pm was a considerate gesture to guests and free train station transfers made everything a breeze.

It is a little far from away from shops, would recommend having a car if possible. But they also have a few shuttles that go to the Kawaguchiko Station.

The location is far from Kawaguchiko station and quite isolated. I rented a car so it was fine for me. However, If you use a public bus, you need to walk uphill/ downhill to the bus station. You can't reach any tourist spot by foot unless you are a strong hiker. No restaurant around, and the hotel only serves French cuisine, which is very expensive for dinner courses.

Beautiful hotel with nice public and private onsen. The breakfast buffet is delicious. The room is considered large for Japanese hotels. Staff at the front desk can speak basic English. Excellence view from my room and the restaurant as shown in the photos. Recommend for anyone who has your own vehicle.

The location of the hotel is both a blessing and a curse. My wife and I took the train into Kawaguchiko and were able to schedule the hotel shuttle to pick us up and bring us to the hotel. Once at the hotel, there's not much around it in terms of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. A lot of the surrounding hotels and homestays have bicycles that they rent or loan out. It would be really nice if La Vista had some bikes for this purpose as we had to take a taxi all of the way back into town to then rent bikes and bike 20-25 minutes back to the hotel.

This resort property is very nice overall! My wife and I stayed here so that we could easily hike to some of the trails in the mountain range located directly behind the property. The resort has five private onsens each with a different theme. They also have two public onsens, one for males and one for females. The rooms are nice, spacious, and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet has plenty of variety. The hotel has a shuttle that will pick you up from and take you to the Kawaguchiko train/bus station. There is a wonderful gelato shop within a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Our room had spectacular views of Mt Fuji.

Slightly off the beaten track without a car but they provided a free shuttle into town so long as you reserved a seat in advance.

Spacious hotel with spectacular views of Mt Fuji. Personal hot tub on the balcony of our rooms also looked out at Mt Fuji. Bed was comfy, lounge area was nice. Breakfast was a superb buffet.

The room I booked with balcony facing Fujisen, bathroom also facing the same. The view is great, but since my room was on 4th floor, you can see the front block, it would be much better if you can get a room on higher floors. Breakfast was of great variety. We also took the French dinner at hotel during our stay, and it was great also! Staff is friendly and helpful all the way! They offered free coffee and drinks at lobby which is a plus.

A little far from town so the area was very quiet at night. No dinner options apart from the set dinner. Private onsen was first come first served so guests with tattoos can't book one in advance.

Love the room view, amazing view of Mount Fuji and the lake. Staff was super friendly and helpful, really grateful for their help.. I needed a taxi in the early morning, however the taxi company was fully engaged. The staff drove me to my destination in his personal vehicle and refused to take any payment.

The on-site dining fills quickly and was fully booked the day we checked in. There are very few restaurants nearby that are walking distance and open at night. I believe the hotel should have more food options for their guests since the only consistent alternative is convenience store food.

The view of Mt. Fuji from the room was spectacular. Breakfast buffet was also very high quality and had a variety of options. The staff were very professional and curteous.

felt that guests should have been told in advance that bookings for dinner must be made by 4pm. We arrived at 6pm (on the last shuttle bus) and were informed that there was no space for dinner in the restaurant. as the hotel is quite secluded, we had to walk more than 20 minutes to the nearest family mart to get dinner.
