Cleaning lady who opened the door due to a mix up on their side regarding check in date. Wifi for our room didn't work but we used that from another room. They all use the same password.

The couch was broken and was hard to sit on . First night when we arrived the room was a bit damp but after turning on AC it went away. Which I guess it was due to being close to the lake 🤷🏻‍♀️

there wasn't any bath tub in the room. If I may suggest to have that since during certain period of the stay, the weather could go cold, so bath tub sometimes do really lift up the mood though I'm travelling alone...

It was a digital lock that doesn't require to collect keys which make it seamless...

Would have loved to rate it higher. Check in process is typical which is door codes being sent on the day of arrival. However, my booking app messenger has issue with delay in reaching me which I have tried to reach the host several times before arriving but often yield to no response. In the end had to seek help from the staff at the ferry terminal to call and get door codes due to language barrier and no local phone access. The phone # listed is also different from the one in check in instructions, hope the host pays attention to enhance check in experience.

I got the best room with balcony with lake view. Would be nice to have a folding chair outside the balcony to sit and enjoy. The town is small and the apt has easy access to ferry, bus terminal anr the shrine.

Space is very limited especially given the price of room. About 5 mins walk from bus drop off at Motohakone-ko. Do-able but be prepared for rain. Mattresses placed on a slightly raised wooden platform. Only one sink/tap for both kitchen and bathroom related use.

Set back from the lakefront; only 1 room seems to have windows facing lake. Great modern showers and separate modern toilet. Coffee, tea, kettle, microwave and refrigerator. Air conditioned. 2 seater sofa, coffee table. Slippers provided. Good quality shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Good lighting, more than enough power outlets, including by bed side for CPAP machine.

The property was right in the heart of Hakone. Waking up in the morning and seeing Lake Aishi was amazing! The apartment was clean and comfortable to stay in.

For some reason all the windows are boxed up, which is a shame because you’re 30 metres from the lake and could have therefore had an amazing view. The sofa in our room was also broken and uncomfortable to sit at, usually not a problem for us as we like to be out most of the day but as there’s nothing open past 17:00 we spent some time on the room.

Thank goodness this room comes with a mini fridge and micro wave, we have no idea that no restaurants are open for dinner in Motohakone past 17:00!! We had to buy supplies at 7/11 and make our own dinners.

Loved the property. Just be aware than dinner options are very, very limited in this area in the spring. Luckily, a conbini is nearby.

Very comfortable rooms that were bigger than expected. The beds were excellent. Easy self check in so there was no staff involvement during our stay, however their communication was excellent beforehand so I felt ok with that. Great location on the lakeside in Motohakone-ko. Easy access to bus and pirate ship tours. The room was very clean we loved everything about this property.

A few things were in a bit of disrepair. The sink was loose, one of the screen doors fell out on the balcony. These things can easily be fixed, however, and did not interfere with the trip. Well, they do have an Onsen on site, it is just fine, but not magical

It is a fabulously interesting experience. The staff are particularly excellent. The dinner and breakfast were magnificent. Truly unique experiences. We were also transferring to a second hotel for our second night in town and one of the staff spontaneously volunteered to arrange to send our baggage ahead for us so we didn’t have to carry it all day. There was no charge for this service. We were super impressed.

somehow there was confusion and the email did not arrive but fortunately the phone number was posted so I was able to make contact and get the room number and access code. I might suggest sending a confirmation email with reply so that the critical information can be communicated when required.

the room was compact but had all the amenities required. the microwave and fridge was a great bonus. the property was the perfect location for activities on the lake. we were able to walk to all attractions. the bus terminal was very close. markets and convenient stores were easily walk-able. highly recommend the accommodations.

There's no elevator, so carrying the luggage upstairs was quite a challenge. I was unsure of where to dispose of the garbage (no instruction were provided)

The room was designed so effectively that it felt larger than its actual size. I love the decorations and the meticulous attention to detail. I was assigned a room with a balcony, and waking up to the view of Lake Ashi every morning was simply breathtaking. Without a doubt, I will choose to stay here again the next time I visit Lake Ashi.
