The room was long and narrow so it was quite dark and a little cramped for 4 people. Location was a bit of a walk to the historical areas, but not difficult.

Very clean, new and good facilities. We also liked the neighbourhood. Well located for the train station and food market and some interesting shops on the same street, especially the antiques shop!

Very nice little hotel close to the center. Property matches description. Welcome stuff was exceptionally responsive and polite. But would be nice to have a breakfast area. When we booked, we did not realise that there was no breakfast facility and that was slightly inconvenient (at least for the price of the room).

The air quality in the room was poor and I had to leave early because of it. My bathroom smelled like mold when I first arrived. It was not dealt with in a timely manner by the staff as there is only people on site 9-12. I ended up buying the Japanese mold spray ("kabi killer") myself to spray down the various drains because I don't like smelling mold when I'm bathing. Every filter in the room -- the AC filter, the air purifier filter, the bathroom filter were filled with dust when I arrived and I cleaned them myself rather than wait a day for the staff to do it. The air purifier/humidifier had a lot of pink slime inside and a moldy old filter. I have asthma so I'm careful about air quality, someone who is not sensitive might not be bothered by it. However, this was unexpected for Japan where rooms are usually spotless, even in the small details. As one of the priciest hotels in the city I would expect this type of maintenance to have been done before my arrival. If they were more diligent with this deeper maintenance, this would be a 10/10 property as the other aspects of the hotel were lovely.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. The local art and traditional crafts in the room are so lovely -- I had art of the night sky and milky way in mine. The staff speaks great English so it's easy to communicate if you're a tourist, and they are very helpful and kind. The room is beautiful and quiet. The Western style beds were extremely comfortable if you like a hard bed, the Japanese style futon was too soft for me. The comforters were very fluffy and luxurious for a winter time stay and I felt comfy and warm in the room. It was great having a small kitchen to prepare some small local meals in and there was great quality kitchen equipment: pots, pans, sharp knife, rice cooker. The location is a short walk from many great restaurants and cafes. I loved all the traditional crafts and eye for beauty in the little details that you could see throughout the hotel.

Loved the size of the place, it was perfect for my partner and I to relax and spread out. Loved that there was also a coin laundry on the premises. It was within walking distance of everything that we wanted to do and explore we didn’t need to use public transport! It was very clean and well equipped.

No coin changer for your laundry (100 yen coins only), pillow is slightly unsuitable.

Good price for the good location, surrounded with lovely eateries. Room and beds were so comfortable and kitchenette was very well decked out.

Not really a complaint, but just a reminder to have a look at the pictures and specifications before you book. Then you know what you will get.

Brand new, stylish Japanese style accommodation with lots of attention to small design details. Spotlessly clean and spacious. The bed was a treat. The staff is super friendly and happy to assist. The location is very central and within walking distance to any of the sights and restaurants in Kanazawa incl. the train station. There's a real supermarket close by as is the Omicho market.

for the first time in Kanagawa, it does take some navigation to get there and it’s a rather quiet street

There is only one washing machine, which was unfortunately competitive and occupied most of the time during our stay. We eventually used the commercial laundry site outside the hotel, which is in 3-5 minute walk. (So it was not so bad.)

The room is new and spacious. The location is convenient, within walking distance from the main station and fish market. The room is equipped with basic appliances (microwave and toaster) and cooking ware, which was really convenient. We especially like the high-tech bathtub, which can prepare water at the temperature you like.
