Place is clean and beautiful, everything felt brand new. The host is very responsive and helpful via booking, and an English speaker which felt rare for us. The train from toyama has the most beautiful view and I'm glad we got there by sunlight. The location is great and next to the cable car to murodo to climb Mt. Oyama.

everything exceeded expectation

The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accomodating. The onsen provided a perfect spa experience that was needed after a long day on the mountain. The meals were delicious as well.

somewhat drunk male stayer on that particular night didn't close toilet cubicle and main doors, little shower rooms, sleep cabin can feel slightly suffocating, breakfast can do with more stuff other than just bread, rice, furikake and miso soup, inside cabin insufficient lighting for packing and unpacking stuff

It is right in front of the Tateyama Station! In addition, the staff are really helpful. They even helped me with my pole that got stuck so I can bring it back home.

Great base for exploring the Tateyama Gorge, across the street from Tateyama station. The hotel and rooms are modern and updated. Bath was nice also. The staff were wonderful and kind. They had a private room with futon mattresses that were very comfortable. It's also a great cafe during the day, with tasty drinks and ice cream.

We stayed at Locomotion Coffee and Bed for a couple of days while hiking in the region. From our previous experience in hostels we did not expect anything special but were wholly proven wrong. Locomotion Coffee and Bed was the nicest, most luxurious guest house we ever stayed at. Beds are spacious and comfortable and the common room is quite cozy. There are also a fridge and electric kettle. Aside from a shower the hostel also houses an onsen that can be used free of charge, perfect after a long day of hiking. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. If wished, they can also prepare (delicious!) breakfast and dinner with vegetarian options available. Locomotion Coffee and Bed is located right across from Tateyama Station and the cable car station, making it an ideal starting point to go to Murodō. The mountains around Toyama are also worth a hike. We had an all aroud pleasant time at Locomotion Coffee and Bed and wish to return here for further exploration of the region.

The property is located right next to Tateyama ropeway and Tateyama train station and very convenient if someone is planning to explore the Kurobe Alpine route. I stayed here for 2 nights and my stay was very pleasant. The rooms and toilets were very clean and tidy. Though I stayed in the shared room, the beds were large enough and comfortable. During my stay there were no other people, so my room was very quiet . I arrived very early around 6:00 AM to explore the Kurobe Alpine route and was pleasantly surprised that the staff was able to answer my calls. Ms. Saeko deserves a special mention here as she was extremely kind and helpful and she went out of her way to accomodate the guests in every possible way she could. She deserves a ton of appreciation !

Fantastic new purpose built building.. super comfy dorm beds, very private. Great location to break up journey to the Alps. Close to train and cable car. Good food available. And great little onsen to relax in.. so relaxing!
