Its aged and needs renovation.Doesn't give you the feel that you are getting your money's worth.There were no guard rails in the bathroom which is very much required for safety of senior citizens.

I booked for 4 people and only got 1 room. That was too small. Partly my mistake. But they made accommodations and got us another room.

The staff were very friendly and accommodative to my requests. Food was excellent and the Onsen was heaven.

Some of the male staff were unfriendly (the man who showed us the private baths). It was weird. Other male staff and all the female staff were very polite and friendly.

Top notch kaiseki dinner, comfortable traditional tatami rooms, onsens are great, especially the private bath. The onsen water is very nice in Noboribetsu.

The onsen was probably on the small side for the size of the hotel but wasn't too crowded at times when we went.

Wonderful dinner and onsite onsens. Walking distance to all the hot springs and right in the middle of other restaurants and shops. Quick walk to the bus terminal, which is then a short bus ride to the JR train station.

I liked my stay so much that it is hard to find fault with amazing accommodations. I think the only thing I disliked was my stay was too short.

The accommodations of this ryokan is amazing. The staff is professional, hospitable, and responsive. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The baths are clean, and the onsen is comfortably hot. The meals are well-made and delicious. And finally, the location is close to several major points around the spa town.

Wifi too slow.

I love thé inviting hospitality upon arrival. The meal time is genius with 3 options for main dish allows a sense of playfulness with our food if we are staying more than one night. Also, every night the chef comes up with something different, which adds to the overall experience of staying here for more than 1 night. I love thé Onsen here but didn’t try other hotels to compare who’s the best but I’d say this is super great in terms of Onsen quality.

We like how the staff were very nice and was able to speak in English to explain everything we needed to know. The staff also noticed that the snow from the roof was falling on our vehicle and he assisted us by driving our car to another one of their parking slot. We also enjoyed the private onsen (which is a separate charge) which is great as it has an indoor and outdoor onsen with spring water. The food they served was very delicious and the dinning experience felt like it was fine dining. In my view, the place looks a lot more beautiful and amazing than the pictures! Was pleasantly surprised how well decorated it was,

Onsen was a little small and not much view.

The room size was good, large and spacious. Love the futon beddings aa they are so comfortable! The best of all, is the food - in terms of presentation, variety, quality, freshness, this humble hotel aced it in all aspects. Sashimi is super fresh! Hotel also peovided good quality toiletries for use. Onsen water was superb, could feel the good effects on skin after soaking in the onsen.

The wifi was spotty to say the least.

The ryokan was a 2-min walk from the station and about 10 minutes from Hell Valley with konbinis close by. But more than its location, the staff were all warm and accommodating, and the service was impeccable. Plus, the food was superb! All the dishes were meticulously prepared with the freshest ingredients.

The grilled fish for the dinner was rather average. Both the public and private onsens are pretty small.

Good location. Private onsen can be booked. Nice breakfast. Parking is available onsite.
