Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

ItalyVery confy hotel, fast check in and all confort in my Room . 6min walk to reach the station and very quiet place!!! In addiction you are very close to Nijo Castle. Whitin 2 stop you can reach Kyoto JR Station and all the attractions. I"ll surely come again!

TaiwanTowels are placed in a locker in front of the elevator for guests to pick up, but are replenished more infrequently than not, and were almost always empty during the three days of the stay.
- It is very close to Nijojo-mae Station on the Tozai Subway Line and a 10-minute walk to JR Shijo Omiya Station. It is also close to Horikawa-oike bus stop, which is very convenient to Kiyomizudera Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Hanami-koji, Nishiki Market, and Shijo Kawaramachi (Kyoto downtown area) by bus. - Self-service check-in and check-out is available, so keep the hotel password and room password provided by e-mail, and if you have any problems checking out, you can use the front desk phone to contact the hotel staff.

AustraliaBins were small which meant for us tourists who buy alot of takeaway from convenient stores bin filled quickly. Build up of trash didn't take long. No microwave for the room. One Shared with entire hotel. Made it inconvenient when warming up frozen foods. Getting hotel and finding out about extra charge on accommodation labelling it as accommodation tax. Although we paid for accommodation online it was not clearly noted that this additional charge would be added once signing into hotel. As we stayed at 3 other accommodations in Japan and paid online. Only here did we experience this. The amount was negligible however it was more it popping up unexpectedly when arriving that threw us off.
Very clean and well maintained. Cleaning service once every three days are very thorough. Convenient switches next to bed made it easy to turn off lights at night. Convenient switch for air-conditioning attached to wall made sure no one could lose remote. Able to enter and leave facility 24 hours.

MalaysiaCheck in was a slight hassle. The tourist tax is pretty expensive and we have to pay for 4 ppl even though 1 was a literal baby. Room was tiny but I guess it was okay considering the price we paid. They only make up rooms on certain days in the week so that sucks. The dryer charge was quite expensive bcs in other hotels they dont charge for that, only for washing. Location is quite far too. It would be better to stay near kyoto station tbh but we booked everything last minute so, lesson learned!
Not much to like actually. It was just okay. Safe area i suppose?

MontenegroThis is a self-check-in hotel, so there's rarely staff at the desk. It was impossible to order delivery on the hotel's address since there would be no one to accept it.
The hotel is placed very conveniently, near to a JR station, a metro station and an alley with shops. The room was very clean with all basic facilities and the neighborhood was quiet.

Everything was as described on Booking.com. We took this hotel because it was near a hotel already booked by another family member we were travelling with and it was perfect. Nice neighbourhood, quiet, very close to a subway station and Nijo Castle, away from the hustle and bustle of other parts of Kyoto. The room and bathroom were both small but functional and clean.
