How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The pillows were a bit uncomfortable.
We loved the location. Very close to the team stop that links Miyajima and Hiroshima Station. Can get to centre of Hiroshima in minutes.

The hostel was not as social as I would've liked. Maybe I chose the wrong days to stay because when I got there it was a bit quiet. The lounge area on the 4th floor is not that big.
I arrived around 13.00 and the staff let me check in a little bit earlier than normal, thank you so much for that. I loved the free clean towel you get every day and the showers are great. The location is superb and close to some main spots in Hiroshima, like the peace museum/park. The bar has some nice drinks.

The staff were all very friendly & helpful. It was incredibly clean & I found it well maintained. I really appreciated how close it was to a lot of things - walking distances to historical Hiroshima park & museum; walking distance to the train & also to restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

The kitchen was extremely small for the size of the hostel but it was a bit quiet while I was there so not that much of a problem.
I loved the space of the beds! You’re in your own custom bunks with curtains. I slept solidly for 2 days and actually extended my stay a further 2 days. The bar is a nice open space to chat to other people in the hostel!

The experience at this hostel was great, the staff were friendly and fun to hang out with and the bar was a fine place to sit and enjoy a drink. There was even an open mic night with local live music.

The pillows are bean bag pillows. Some noisy guests but not hostels fault.

It was very quiet which is shocking considering the value you get out of this property but other than that, no other negatives (this may be a positive for you introverts but at a hostel, you wanna socialise)
The staff were welcoming. Great bar and common rooms. Everything was clean all the time and the dormitories were spacious with plenty of space for luggage and safes for valuables. Towels were complimentary which is always awesome and the location is amazing being next to a 7-11 and FamilyMart (also next to a tram line and 5 min walk to Peace Park)

Everything was perfect, cleanliness, amenities, location, staff.. I have been staying in guest houses as solo traveler in Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka in last 10 days. Hostel mange tak was best amongst them.

There was no locker for the luggage. It is a commond dormitory area so some people were sleeping while other were maiking noise with their luggage packing or unpacking.
Very close to thcity center and major sightseeings. Cheap and good stay in general.

The staff is very helpful, I had some problems with the bed and they found immediately a solution. The hostel is near a train line that will get you everywhere: city centre and Miyajima.

The duvet was very short so either my feet were sticking out or it didn’t cover me. The female dorm can get really busy and with so many comings and goings, and snoring neighbors, the curtain separations between beds is not very soundproof. I prefer smaller dorms with fewer people than big 20-30 person dorms.
The hostel and staff are nice and the facilities are new and clean and stylish. Location was within walking distance to Peace Memorial and other sites, but you need to take a bus/tram from the train station. There is a convenience store right around the corner. The dorm beds themselves were fairly spacious.

Super friendly and nice staffs. Thanks to chance my booking day without any charge! Room is good and has everything for people stay short or long time. Easy to connect with peoples from over the world! The Places is quite center and near from the historical places in hiroshima.

Beds were particularly uncomfortable.
Really nicely done up modern hostel, with excellent common space and friendly English-speaking staff. Well located for Hiroshima Peace Park, and riverside walks.
