We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

This was a modern Japanese style hotel, with a wonderful onsen and fantastic views. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They even gave us a half bottle of sparkling wine for my birthday, which was much appreciated! We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend.

SwitzerlandLovely property in Matsushima. Exceptional panoramic views over the Matsushima Bay from many of the rooms (room-wide windows). Comfortable and clean rooms, lovely main dining area and multiple other restaurants - and a huge lobby with floor to ceiling windows and a plenty of seats to admire the bay from. Nice gardens around the hotel and a very practical and sizeable grocery/souvenirs shop in the hotel lobby. Relaxed type of a hotel, with an onsen and yukatas (included in the room) being worn casually all through the hotel. Free and comfortable regular shuttle bus connection to Matsushimakaigan JR station. Otherwise, just a 15 mins walk from the station (mind though, partially uphill) and 20 mins walking to the central pier for the ferries. Lovely island with interesting historical shinto artifacts just opposite and 10 mins walking from the hotel. Wide buffet choice, esp. seafood. Very nice receptionists and restaurant personnel, who do their best to make the guests feel comfortable and take the extra mile with translations, to reduce the language barrier. Thank you !

United StatesThere were some type of big bugs in the outside bath (rotenburo). There were several crawling around while we tried to enjoy each other`s company and the view but the bugs crawling in and out of the deck were very distracting.
The view from the window was magnificent. The seafood buffet was amazing and the staff treated us really nice. I appreciated the help I received at check in.

An amazing stay in Taikanso ! It is extremely clean and comfortable. what I love most is the Matsushima Bay view from the hotel, breakfast spread and the service provided. All staff were attentive to our needs from the moment we stepped into the hotel - from the reception to the beautiful piano melody for the guests, to the restaurant operators. Never felt so welcomed :) there is also a free shuttle to/fro train station . thank you for the amazing stay!
