First of all, it’s a budget guesthouse. I stayed in their mix dorm. The walls are thin. I needed some hangers. It’s better to fix the roof top. No washing machine; a coin laundry is nearby, 5 minutes away.

Great location close to the Ginza Street, conveniently close to Izakayas and local convenience stores, even during the New Year period (Luckily some Izakayas and stores were open). Free parking area behind the hotel for car rentals. Their cafe was satisfying every morning; I liked the simple menu with toast, eggs, salad and coffee. And staff are nice as reviewed.

It rained quite a lot when I was there, and there is a leak from the wall under the window in the dorm. luckily I didn't have anything on the floor there because there was quite a big puddle in the morning.

Friendly staff in the coffee shop did their best to help me in English. Breakfasts and coffee were lovely, and it's wonderful that they open so early every day. The female dorm had a little sitting area and its own toilet and shower, and since I was the only one there, it was like having a private room. Good location in the center of town close to lots of restaurants and grocery stores. Everything was clean and the bunk was comfortable.

Check in a bit slow, would re come d they get the guest to fill the info before hand to save time. The walls of the rooms are not built that great so you can hear everything from your neighbours.

I didn't like my bed location above all the other beds, it was hard to get into and out of because of a ladder, I hurt my leg a few times. I also didn't like the key system, it you forget to take your key in the middle of the night to go to the toilet you get locked out of your room. Another thing I didn't like was their is no kitchen.

I liked when I was arriving I got sent an email from the staff that they would pick me up from the airport and they did. I also liked the convenience of the location of the place in regards to shops and izakayas. I liked once I figured it out that breakfast is cheaper before 7am.

Perhaps it'd be nicer to leave a little note of wifi password and other important information in the room. Staffs were nice and friendly but seemed less spontaneous when it comes to the unaccustomed works.

i heard that the owners of the coffee shop can speak english but when i check in the women did not speak english at all, i couldn’t ask for the information i needed.

it was my first time staying in a dormitory so i was a little bit scared about it but thankfully the place was really nice and clean! located in the main street with convenient store, rental cars, beach and everything that you need at 2-5min away by walk womens who cleaned the room was really kind! quality price ratio is perfect!

Very nice place with a very nice and helpful owner very dedicated for the island. The Cafe downstairs is meant to be an exchange place for locals and traveller's.

a little bit expensive for that facility. no shelves in the bathroom to put your clothes or sth.

There are many supermarkets near the place and five minutes ride takes you to the port and the airport. It’s convenient to go everywhere in the island.

You can only sit on bed and no chair or sofa in the mix room. No space for you to eat your lunch box or dinner box.(nobody told me I could sit in the cafe after 5pm, and no place to sit before 5 pm. Even after 5 pm, sometimes cafe is dark and difficult to enter it. no micro-oven to heat your lunch box or dinner box.

There is salad in the breakfast, and location is fine.

Nothing not to like at Meedafus.

The staff are genuinely interesting in making your stay as pleasant as possible. I highly recommend Meedafus as one of the best hostel I have ever stayed at. Excellent coffee and Wi-Fi speeds too.

Our room was not located in the original space, and this was not indicated on Booking.com nor by the owner...until we were asked to get in the car again to be driven over to a different building, few minutes away. Not a big to deal, but surely you'd evolution that or that we should walk back in the morning for b breakfast? Nothing mentioned. The room says it has a kitchen, and there is a burner, microwave, kettle. However, no plates at all, two plastic cups (for cold drinks, not hot) and no utensils other than chopsticks. Breakfast was said to be American, but included only a piece of toast, Japanese salad Japanese pickles, with a mini hot dog. No egg options, despite the pictures posted. As an American, there was nothing American about this breakfast. Also says you can use their shower after checkout..but actually they charge. Nominal amount (¥300), but when you've paid ¥21,000/night for a VERY average stay and unimpressive breakfast, you feel nickel and dimed to pay for the shower that's already supposedly included. Overall, staff was not friendly (owner is the exception - very sweet). They seemed annoyed to help us, nor very helpful nor tried. Of course, the language barrier is our fault, but a) use a translator app, as b) you're a lodging establishment in a touristy island, there will be foreigners once in a while. Felt unwelcome.

Owner was kind, but the other employees were not very friendly. Pick up and drop off at the port. Room is large, space to move and open up suitcases.
