Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomAs others have said, the rooms are poky (bed against wall) and very dated. Very few power sockets - we had to boil the kettle in the bathroom. You’re paying for the location - in other Japanese hotels we had far superior rooms for this price (about £230 per night)
Location (take Nihombashi exit from Tokyo Station), fantastic views from station side rooms including the bathroom, clean with comfortable bed and choice of pillows

The hotel was conveniently located at the train station. Quick access to trains and lots of food and shopping. Overlooked the bullet trains. It was fun to watch.

I like the location of this hotel. It’s literally next to Tokyo Station. Lots of restaurants, convenience shops, supermarket, starbucks and Daimaru Mall. Very convenient for shopping.

AustraliaI LOVED this hotel. so accessible because Tokyo station is at the hotel door front, very close to shops and restaurants (especially the restaurants in the station/malls which I liked for how casual and good value they were, while still being tasty). We were very kindly given a room with a view of the trains going in and out of the station, and as a small-time train enthusiast, I consider this a million dollar view. The rooms are normal sized for Tokyo (smaller than cities in US, Aus, Canada etc) but still felt high-end and very clean and very comfortable. Staff were very nice. I will stay here again.

Our room was well equipped with a view of Tokyo and the mesmerising trains on the tracks way below. It was easy to use public transport to get everywhere in Tokyo.
