A little noisey from the station - but that’s to be expected being so close! The pillows were not great….. I’m being very fussy here!

Very close to the train station. Even with young kids (4 and 7) we could carry all our luggage from the station to the hotel. The staff was so very friendly and helped us book restaurants, make some suggestions and looked after some washing once it was done! The rooftop was a lovely place to go to watch the sun set! We stayed in a Pokémon themed room - the kids went mental over it! They loved the GIANT Snorlax in the room!

Not a huge deal but we would have liked the beds to be made each day without any further charge.

Location was great to allow access to station and not right in the middle of busy area. Staff were very helpful. Willing to book us in to a restaurant on our behalf.

It was pretty perfect in my opinion

We booked the pokemon room for one night and then a normal room for the rest. The staff are amazing. Kind and know languages, made sure we were comfortable. The place was so clean and it was literally a 3 min walk from the station!

There is only one elevator so during peak times, you may have to wait a while for an elevator especially if you are on one of the middle floors. Comparatively, the room was on the smaller side for a Mimaru property, but it was still extremely comfortable.

Excellent location (minutes from Kyoto Station) with wonderful staff. Check-in is a breeze and the rooms, while a bit smaller than other Mimaru properties we have stayed at, were comfortable for our family of 7 (though our younger kids did enjoy the bunkbed setup). A 7-11 is right on the corner as well as some delicious restaurants within walking distance. We were on the tailend of our trip so we used laundry services which had larger machines that were close by. They also provide luggage storage services.

Just a bit further from the action than we thought. A 40min walk to the Nishiki markets & Gion district - which is totally doable, easy & enjoyable for adults but our kids complained after a big day. Lots of public transport options to overcome this of course, but visiting during peak tourist times - walking was often better than braving the crowds on the bus & trains

All the Staff we encountered were lovely & very helpful. Hotel extremely close & convenient to Kyoto station & 7-11 for snacks & breakfast. Spotlessly clean. Stayed in the Pokémon room, which was a bit of a novelty for the kids & spacious

This was our second stay at a Mimaru during our Japan trip, and once again it did not disappoint. It’s conveniently located right across from Kyoto station. We stayed in an apartment style room, with bunk beds for the kids. It was really spacious, nice dining area and kitchen, big shower room and a separate toilet. There is a coin laundry which we used everyday, so handy. There are dryers available but we just hung everything in the room (there is plenty of hanging space) and it dried overnight. The staff are lovely and help with any request. Our room looked out over the road and onto the Shinkansen tracks, my husband loved watching them come and go. Noise not a problem when windows closed at night. There are heaps of restaurants and shops in Kyoto station, from convenience stores to designer brand shops. Can’t recommend Mimaru highly enough, they are a little more expensive than a standard room but definitely worth it especially if travelling with kids.

Nothing we don’t like, though the laundry was heavily utilized so more machines would be great.

The location was perfect. We loved the room setup and believed it to be even better than the location we stayed in Tokyo as far as efficient use of space. It was clean and the staff were great. It was also much cleaner and more comfortable than the competitors MONday that we stayed at while in Japan.

The Pokemon room was a huge hit for my kids. The general layout of the room worked great for our 5 person family as well. Location was A+ as so many special Kyoto spots were a train ride away from Kyoto Station. It's quite a walk from the downtown area however.

The location was walking distance from Kyoto station, which was very handy as we were traveling with a toddler and stroller. We came in from Mimaru Tokyo, who arranged delivery of our baggage to Mimaru Kyoto, which was very efficient and economical. I recommend this place for people traveling with children.

Bed too hard for my liking. Noise from neighboring room, drainage during rain and announcements from station (although stopped later in evening). Long walk from most attractions in the area. Nasty smell in garden at entrance.

I like the big snorlax and pokemon theme tableware, the room is big and suitable for families! The staff is also very kind and advised us on the alternative route to go to Kiyomizu dera. With the alternative route, we reach there peacefully while avoiding the crowd.
