Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SingaporeTV programme is limited to only jap channels which is difficult to distract our kids as we pack. But then, if the programmes are exciting, it will be difficult to get them to leave and see more of Kyoto than what’s on the screen.
Spotlessly clean. Including all the utensils and even the water kettle was clean inside out. Functional design of the room which met our needs as a family of 5. We drove, so location is not an issue. Public transport seems convenient too.

AustraliaThe windows didn't open out to anything and from what I recall not able to let fresh air in. Maybe the venue needs 1-2 more dryers as there was competing space for laundry facilities.
Like the other Mimaru hotel locations, staff were very friendly and helpful. They spoke fluent English. The location was a short bus ride away from Kyoto Station. However, it was quite a distance from other JR stations. We liked that it had a few good places to eat close to the hotel and there were convenience stores and 2 supermarkets a short walk away to purchase things to eat inside the room. All the kitchen utensils you need were available in the room.

It was conveniently located. The staff were helpful. And there were coffee making facilities in our room. While by the room was small (like all hotel rooms in Japan) it was well appointed and cleaver laid out.
