Very good value for money. Near to metro station. Just a little out of the way but just means you have to walk a couple of blocks more. Hence good value I suppose. Good clean hotel. Spacious. Has washing machine in room. Good shower beds etc

Great location, perfect for families. Had all we needed. Loved that it was on a quiet street but near a lot of atractions and transportation.

The sofa felt like very used and not in good condition. Had some stains. They should consider to change it. Also the apartment felt very closed and with not light.

The apartment is good but I think is a little bite pricey for the amenities and the sofa conditions.

Super clean, easy easy to use and clear information. Staff was fluent in English and accommodating of all questions that requests. Was easy to use the bicycles to rent and enjoy Kyoto without any fuss.

There aren’t curtains on the windows, just a Japanese style screen, so a bit more light comes in in the morning but we got used to it pretty quick.

Tidy, well equipped apartment in a great central location for a reasonable price. The kids loved the bunk beds and everything was comfortable. It was great to have a fridge and laundry to keep on top of things while travelling.

a little far from the metro station and not many restaurants nearby. But it's in a quiet neighborhood, so it's a trade off.

The kids really like the bunk beds. We like the family style hotel room so the our family can stay in one room, which is much more fun and convenient. They also have a very small kitchen and in room washer. We didn't use those during our stay, but it would be very convenient if we stay longer.

We didn’t mind cleaning every 4th day but when the room was cleaned the dishes were not washed and the bath was not cleaned.

Easy check-in. Beautifully decorated room- we had the Pokémon themed room. Well appointed amenities - really appreciated the washing machine with detergent, kitchenette and pyjamas. Best front desk service- all staff spoke and understood English very well and were super helpful making restaurant bookings, calling cabs, renting bikes. The room was very clean when we arrived. The 7 eleven was great to get eggs and bread to make a quick breakfast before exploring. We could walk to the manga museum, Nishiki Market and Nijo Castle but took transport to most places.

This hotel is exceptional. I went to a few other hotels before this one and my kids loved it. Very spacious, comfortable and it has all the amenities you might need. If you're traveling with a family of 4, do yourself a favor and book this hotel.

Pillows were either too soft or too hard for me, but rest of my family members didn't have problem with it. Would have been good too if we could see out the room windows but it was locked and non-transparent.

Room was OK size for Japan standard, and it was super convenient to have the washer and dryer in the room itself. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful, and the front desk reception staff were superb with their service - always very patient and responding with a smile. Family mart and 7-11 were just within walking distance while the subway station was about 8 mins walk away on flat road.

Loved the Mimaru hotel apartment! Left Japan with a very good experience on two Mimaru properties. Had a Japanese apartment. Room is well done. A bit on the tight side once you open the three beds on the tatami, a bit hard to walk around. But it's great for kids. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are well designed. The staff at the reception were very helpful. Special thanks to Kai for helping us figure out how to get concert tickets! Couldn't have done it without his help!!! Loved the area, convenient yet quiet and with lots of options for food nearby. Easy walk to subway and attractions.

I had wish that the room was fully serviced everyday. Although the staff was very friendly i had wish they were more knowledgeable about kyoto’s point of interests, as when my partner and I had ask or some recommendation there were a bit unsure themselves. But other than that they have been very lovely

The location was top notch. Most of the sightseeing and shopping area was walking distance and there were plenty of public transport option around the area. I like the layout of the room as it provided us ample space in the living room for our luggages and space for us to eat dinner. The staff were very friendly and approachable too.
