Size of the room- the price and variety of the breakfasts..

It was good location-just a few minutes walk from Nara’s park and also to the lovely streets of Nara.(restaurants ,shops etc). It was self check in& out which was easy and the staff was nice & helpful if we needed help or ordering a or anything else. The room was small but looks nice and was suitable for our needs.

It would’ve been nice to have coffee bags and not just tea option. Only negative was staff ordering wrong size taxi for family of 4 with 3 large suitcases and one small. Had to split up family and wait for them to call 2nd taxi to train station.

Too minimalistic and dark. No coffee in the room. One is not allowed to take drinks from bar to the room. Very cold and impersonal experience.

We selected the Twin room bed configuration. This comment is not restricted to this hotel. But as someone with a back issue I found the beds were not comfortable. Too firm. In general I have found the hotel bed comfort on this trip, hit and miss. Some hotels are comfortable and others too firm. It may be a cultural thing but it's a key decision for me and in the case of this hotel it is an unfortunate negative point that would influence my decision in the future.

The location was excellent as it is situated very close to the main Nara attractions and park and also the restaurants in the old town. We booked a large room that would cater for more than a couple so we were very happy with the room size. The condition and cleanliness of the room, also, very good. Style modern and minimalist and a hint of Japanese traditional flavour. The staff were helpful and friendly and provided assistance as requested. The breakfast was a set breakfast in either western or Japanese versions and was well presented and sufficient. But sometimes a buffet can be fun to be able to mix things up. However I think the set breakfast was in keeping with the hotel's overall policy of minimal waste which I appreciate. Finally, the location is on a no through road next to some parkland with deer. Consequently very quiet.

Great design of the rooms and hotel; good Japanese breakfast and nice atmosphere in the coffee/breakfast area. Spacious rooms, bigger than average hotel rooms in Japan. Definitely recommended. Also, great location, close to Nara attractions.

Maybe I misunderstood but I didn’t realise the hotel lobby was also a public cafe, so it’s very busy there all the time. The terrace is not for hotel guests only but anyone can come have a coffee, which is a shame as then there is nowhere to sit a relax for a while with a book.

Perfect location, couple minutes walk to the main area of shops and restaurants but also a terrace on the park where you can enjoy a coffee with views of deer! Best shower we had in Japan- very powerful, comfortable beds and nice dark room at night. Oh and best green tea in the room I’ve ever had!!

Check out for the hotel is a bit too early.

The hotel is very clean, staff are attentive. Location is nice. Self Check-in terminal is a good idea. Helped us with sending our bags to the next hotel destination.

Pillows and mattresses are pretty hard.

Location is great with kids as you can easily walk to all the interesting spots. The terrace of the hotel is great as well! Western breakfast is good but every day the same and not really adapted to kids (e.g. soup, carrot salad, boiled eggs).
