How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Security for the lift access to the guest room floors could be improved. I encountered non guest able to press any floor call buttons so long as the lift access is activated by a valid guest taking the same lift. It should be card programmed to only floor where the guests are staying (feature implemented at ANA Inter-Continental that I stayed before). Next is the hotel could have provided a lounge area outside the public bath for guests to rest while waiting for their spouse or family members after bath. I agreed with the hotel notice that guests with pajamas and bath slippers should not be in the hotel reception for pleasantness but there is no proper space if guests need to rest after a hot bath.
Well spaced and beautiful aesthetically reception area. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Check in process was easy and fast. Room was promptly cleaned every day.

Couldn't use the onsen because of tattoos

Perfect location in a non-touristy neighbourhood, subway next to the hotel, amazing breakfast and fantastic rooms. The onsen was also amazing!

Breakfast was nicely prepared, both delicious and nutricious; we looked forward to it every morning. The staff at the breakfast place were also very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very new, clean and spacious.

Room was pricey for its size. It was small and tight on space to place our luggage. Location-wise, this wasn't our first choice, but we were able to get around fine.
Clean and modern, staff was nice.This hotel has a communal furo which I didn't have time to utilize but would have wanted to try it out.

The room layout was well designed, and the space was simply perfect. Bed was superb comfy. I like most where the bedroom was partitioned, from the open sink space and bathroom area, with a sliding door for a good night skeep. AC/Heater unit controller was straightforward easy to use.

It didn't have a restaurant and the room was not big enough to accommodate our large suitcases.

Nice hotel close to Tokyo station. A bit simple but good for a night or two. The hot bath was nice even if it’s not a real hot spring. The room is small but functional and you can open a suitcase.

location is great just a few minutes walk from tokyo station. a subway station is almost right next to the hotel. nihonbashi area around the hotel providing shops and department stores with many selection of excellent products from across japan. the area has many good restaurants, or just a few minutes walk you reach kanda station area which providing many good restaurants and izakaya as well. ginza area is within walking distance. staying here give us such a sense of well being. we stay in superior corner twin room which has a very nice view of the surrounding buildings at night. the room size is good, room lay out is very good, bedding is very comfortable. there is a nespresso machine provided in the room. high quality amenities. public bath is very useful after city walk all day long. breakfast is super good, we think this is the best we had so far visiting japan. highly recommended.

Pillows could be softer, but room was fab.
Location was excellent, very very close to major stations and underground. Also the staff were great with excellent English.

Public bath is a bit small and tends to get crowded.
Directly link to train station coming from airport. Near to a few different subway lines so can get around Tokyo quite easily. Room a bit small for three persons/beds. Not enough space to open up luggage.

There was nothing I didn’t like.
Wonderful location-could get to the Ginza line without going outside. Elegant older area of Tokyo -the beautiful department store, Mitsukoshi just a 4 minute walk away. I had booked a double twin corner room and it did not disappoint.

Rooms were very small and cramped. Our luggage barely fit.
