Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanThe pool isn't really a pool.. we were very disappointment . It's more like a water feature, with 50cm depth (below the knee). Made especially for people to take their IG photos as if they're enjoying great time at the swimming pool, but the truth is - this is not a swimming pool. Also - they only open it from 15:00! All of the information is written on their website, true. But when a hotel shows off with pushing photos of 2 rooftop swimming pools, you don't read ALL the information about the water depth, as you expect to visit a hotel with actual swimming pools that you will actually be able to enjoy them, and this is far from truth.
New, clean, great location and great city view from the room! Staff we're friendly, and the restaurant was also great for lunch.

United StatesMy wife and I went to the lobby bar. She wated a glass of wine. I do not drink. When I told the staff I did not want anything, they told me I could not stay there if I did not order. TERRIBLE policy. At checkout I told the MITSUI staff of our displeasure. They told me they would correct the problem for the future (I did not believe them). The bar is not owned by MITSUI. Of course my wife did not buy the wine and we walked out. There is ZERO inconvenience for the bar staff to permit to sit there without purchasing a beverage. The bar is located in the LOBBY of the hotel, and part of the lobby without walls. With setas all around.
New hotel. VERY CLEAN! Everything any one would need for an extended stay. Could have used more square footage. Staff was wonderful. Loads of amenities. Will definitely stay here again. MITSUI is a wonderful conpany.

JapanNothing was bad. Just be careful if you have tattoos to hide them. The staff member at the pool will also give you some stickers to hide it a little bit.
Nice staff members, nice room. The sky pool is also pretty great, the water was perfect for May weather. We could watch the sunset from the pool and we can even order drinks there too.

United KingdomDoesn’t state before you go their tattoo policy for the pool, if you have more than your torso heavily tattooed then you’re not getting in. Also, if you booked it for the gym, be aware that it’s mainly for cardio/yoga. The dumbells only go up to 10kg and there is one bench. That’s it. So don’t expect a full weights work out. But it’s clean and great views of city whilst on a running machine

AustraliaNothing. This hotel was exceptional
This property is just wonderful and quite special. The views are exceptional and the reception and lounge area is simply sublime. The accommodation must be some of the largest in Japan and are very comfortable with great amenities. The staff are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble even coming two days running to my room to help me log into my streaming accounts. On leaving for a short trip to Kyoto, as I was returning to the hotel for another night they held my luggage. As I am a solo traveller this was essential for me. I always felt secure, safe and comfortable in this lovely hotel.

United StatesThis is a gorgeous hotel and a tremendous deal. We loved our very comfortable room and a view of Mt. Fuji, even though most of the time it was covered in clouds. The breakfast is amazing and well worth adding (we ended up paying for it separately). The hotel itself is beautiful and the public areas have amazing views.

United KingdomWe got a bit lost most times we headed from the subway to the hotel but that is more about the complexity of the many exits at Landmark Tower and Queens Square
This is a stunning, relatively new hotel in the Minato Mirai district. The lobby, pool and restaurant are all on the 20th floor with amazing views. The pool area was spotless and well staffed, as were all public areas. There is a sense of calm luxury that starts from the relaxing aroma in the lift lobbies on the ground and first floors. We had a corner room (2251) and were incredibly lucky to be able to see Mt Fuji one morning (a highlight as it had been elusive up to this point). Housekeeping was meticulous. This was well worth the money we paid for it and we were very impressed with everything. Nice and close to Landmark Tower where there were many reasonable places to eat.

Hong KongWe had a very relaxing stay at the end of a busy 2 week trip of sightseeing. The hotel is very clean and modern with helpful and attentive staff. The gym, pool and hot tub facilities were great. We had the set lunch which was delicious and a fair price, and had the breakfast buffet that had a variety of western and Japanese options. It would be even better if there were coffee and eggs to order, but it was still great. We stayed in the Queen room, which was spacious and comfortable offering a view of Mt.Fuji when clear. The bed and pillow were amazing and the best in our 2 week tour of Japan. This hotel is only a 20minute drive to Heneda airport, which was perfect for our early morning flight. The surrounding area is excellent for shopping too and lots of options for eating out.
