Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe hotel is located on a hill so it would be difficult to enter and exit on foot. We hired a car so it didn’t affect us as much.
The room was big, clean and the staff were so so friendly. The services provided at the hotel were abundant and we received a welcome drink upon arrival. Staff helped us with our baggage when we arrived and checked out of the hotel. There was a beautiful view of Mount Fuji from this hotel and there were many viewing spots located around the hotel. Public and private onsens are available.

PolandAmazing view, clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff. We absolutely loved our stay at Mizno Hotel. Public baths were also very clean and open air one had a direct view to mt. Fuji! Breakfast in the morning was delicious and, again, had amazing view from the restaurant.

SingaporeThe hotel located quite a bit up on the hill so if you come without any transportation, it would be a bit of a hike. The hotel provides a free shuttle from Kawaguchiko Station which can be called with the help of the Tourism Centre. The hotel itself has a vintage vibes with cozy atmosphere, and our room was facing the lake and Mount Fuji. The room itself is small but has everything we need, and very comfortable. The breakfast was great as well! Overall it's a recommended place to stay in :)

AustraliaIt’s a little uphill to the property but not a huge deal.
It has the most amazing view of Mt. Fuji. It’s close to the bus stop and has free bike hire. The staff were so polite and helpful and the hotel has a very unique, elegant and timeless vibe. The private onsen overlooking the mountain is the highlight for me!

SingaporePrice per night was kinda high, but lower if booked in advance (rooms get fully booked up well in advance). Road up to the hotel was rather narrow.
Property offers amazing views, near to the main sights like ropeway and momiji corridor, warm staff who helped with luggage the moment we arrived, great housekeeping who refreshed the room completely every day, clean onsen facilities with breathtaking view, room was adequately sized, with huge balcony and toilet.

Singapore1) Wish there will be more option for the food as in choices (breakfast only 1 choice) and would be excellent that at anytime there will be some simple Japanese fare available. 2) We are only allowed limited nos of pillows, it would make my sleep so more better if I could hv just 1 extra pillow (sorry just my personal preference as I like to rest my head on high pillows) Nevertheless, I will surely come back to Mizno again! Overall we enjoyed the hotel.
The patient friendly staff, the view, the rooftop bar, the hot bath 👍🏻

SingaporeThe dinner wait-staff were not all top-notch to be befitting of Mizno hotel and Japan’s service quality standards, but it was still agreeable nonetheless.
Excellent views of Fujisan, excellent housekeeping standards, polite staff, clean public bath. All round excellence.

CanadaFor a high priced property, noting that you’re paying for the view, the room is showing it’s age and could use a refresh. Strong musty smell upon arrival, weak ac unit, and leaky shower that runs through the window out to the patio.
Outstanding location, view, amenities and staff! Comfortable beds.

NetherlandsAmazing location! If the weather allows it, you have a perfect view of Mt. Fuji-san! The staff were amazing, really helpful and even assisted us with ordering food from outside, as we arrived quite late. Also the room had an amazing balcony view of the lake & mountains. The private open air bath was also really great!

United KingdomThe hotel has no food alternative if the restaurant is fully booked or closed. There are no shops near the hotel. Very long queues for restaurants in the town … 2 hour wait! I don’t understand why the hotel don’t provide a bar menu or even a vending machine. The bed sheets were not quite big enough and would not stay on the mattress.
We had a lovely view of Mount Fuji. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, traditional Japanese style. The private and public onsens were very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. Shuttle bus to the town. Use of a microwave.

AustraliaWe booked their restaurant for dinner, the french set course meal was interesting. I felt the flavours of the meals didn't really complement each other.
The balcony in our room provided a beautiful view of Mt Fuji, we were very lucky to see it when we arrived as there was no cloud coverage. The lobby area is well decorated. Staff spoke English and were very kind. We also paid ¥5000 to book a private onsen experience for 45 minutes which included 2 drinks. That was cool. Room and bathroom were clean, easy communication with staff.
