Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArgentinaIt looks very old, needs a redecoration. It is depressing. For the same money you can find better hotels in Ginza.

ThailandWe got the connecting room and it's quite big especially compared to other hotels in Tokyo. The location is close to many stations so you can easily use several metro lines. The bed and blankets are very comfortable! Also the staff is really nice.

United KingdomThis is totally personal but for me the location was a touch inconvenient in a weird way. Sure there are metro stations near by, but the one nearest wasn't very useful line for me and there's minimum 10min walk to others.
The check in and out were easy. The room was HUGE for Tokyo standard. Everything was clean. I enjoyed the slight out of date decor, very reminiscent of the 90s. AC system worked fine, good Wifi, there was one hard and one soft pillow for each person so you can choose. You can find all conbini stores within one block of the hotel and other many great eating options. I think the price was reasonable and expected for the location, duration and Tokyo.

United StatesThey didn’t have the AC on. I had to request it, then I had someone come up and open the window but then I could hear every car, and then they finally turned on the ac for me at 11 that night and kept it on duration of stay. I was about to check out. I specifically looked for hotels with AC because I have a medical condition. Their beds are also very hard, but I’ve heard that’s a Japan thing.
Location was great, very clean and safe. Property itself was very clean.

United StatesCommunication with hotel staff could have been better. Do not like a hotel where you cannot open windows. The room was too warm for our comfort. We asked to lower temp and adjustments were made. We should have asked sooner.
Excellent dinner at restaurant attached to hotel, expensive but quality throughout each course. Location . Hotels interest in conserving towels, etc.

AustraliaThe hotel is in a great location but our room was quite small for the price - during our 3 week trip we stayed in larger rooms for much less. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly but had limited knowledge. There are lots of shops and restaurants around.

SingaporeThe room faces the courtyard, meaning there is no view from the window other than the walls. There is no safe inside the room. I have to leave my valuables at the reception. At least we need one in the guest room. Though we cannot complain as it is the standard in Tokyo, the room is a bit too squishy - struggling to store my stuffs even for one night. Breakfast is too pricey. The restaurant, according to the hotel, is French influenced but the cost of JPY4k per person is insane although we enjoy weak JPY this time. Even in Ginza district you can enjoy a great dinner with the same cost.
Location, location, location. The hotel is perfectly situated in Ginza District, very convenient to do anything including shopping and wine & dining, a subway station is also there within 30 sec walk. It is squishy but cozy inside the building with Art Deco-ish interiors at the public spaces.
