Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Israelthe bed wasn't that comfortable, the mattress was a bit too thin, so it kinda felt like sleeping on the floor
The place it in a great location, with a great view of mount Fuji just outside the property, and a great place to start exploring the area around, the layout of the room made the small space feel homey and cozy

Hong KongThe BBQ set is a bit too expensive, not worth of the money, we got way cheaper food from the supermarket nearby.
The room is pretty, and the same as the photos shown. We had good privacy as it was separated with curtains and walls. The staffs were responsive and the shuttle bus arrangements was really helpful and convenient.

AustraliaThe room is quite cramped. Best suited for 1 person. Also the “free shuttle bus” advertised does not run all hours. I believe it only ran from 3pm to 5pm. Not the best hours and should be clearly stated in the booking advertisement. It was also not openly advertised in the check in room and so not sure if most people are aware of it.
Bus stop was right outside the accommodation which made it convenient to get to the Kawaguchiko station. It was also conveniently near a few convenience store and grocery shop. Plenty of eating options near the stay. Room is well equipped with kitchen utensils, kettle, microwave, etc.

JapanThe villas were very close to each other so it felt a bit less cozy and there was limited view because of that
Very cozy small rooms. Room was modern and had all luxuries you could think of having in a small villa.

SlovakiaInside is not a space to open the luggage, and also missing a place for your clothes and stuff. We were just 2 people, so it was OK, but i can't imagine if there are more people or kids.
Perfect place, near to every main travel things. The tourist bus stop is exactly there. The check-in was online with a webcam, too. The bath was perfect. The kitchen, bathrooms, and room were fully equipped. ( dishes, coffee, tee, towels, blankets, pen,...) They have luggage storage and washing maschine too.

SingaporeDid not realised it was a loft bed and the stairs to the bed is not grippy enough. Toilet also lacked insulation and is colder than the rest of the room.
Very cozy and homely feeling with loads of utensils provided. The BBQ at an additional cost was well worth it.

United KingdomAlthough the property says BBQ is part of the facilities - it's not - you have to pay them 3000 yen by transfer to use it. And by paying that you don't get anyone setting it up for you, it's just an additional cleaning fee they charge. This isn't clear when you book on booking.com and it's not listed as an optional feature, instead they email you after you've paid to tell you about the extra fee. I told them this was disappointing and they apologised but we still had to pay the extra, which seemed a bit silly considering the price of the rooms. Also, the cabins at the back will only have a small view of Fuji, if any, because those in front block the view. ,
Like staying in a mini home! The place was very well put together and the mattress was one of the comfiest we slept on. The locations great, 15 mins from the main station and there's some nice restaurants nearby. Small, cozy, and a cool vibe. The outside part was really nice with a big cozy bed you can relax on .

CambodiaThe accessible bus is right in front of hotel which is called Oogi bus stop but the bus doesn’t start until 9am and only run until 5-6pm. This hotel is 1.1km from Kawaguchiko station if u walk. Be minded of ur luggage. So we u wish to travel early morning or late evening, it will be a hassle, thought hotel provides shuttle bus but we don’t want to bother other. Plus, hotel is unmanned, there is no one to ask for any info.
Great facilities. They have everything in the room. Clean, cozy, big space.

CanadaThe camping mobiles are so cute! I loved it, this was one of those memorable places that I would never forget for it was so cute and it was also snowing so for me it felt like I was literally camping but had all these facilities and accommodations. I enjoyed all aspects of the stay. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable. It actually felt extremely home like inside each of the cabins. The owners really did a great job in decorating the space. I think I would do this again indefinitely!

CanadaThe rooms are quite small, but, they make the space work.
The location is a bit of a walk from the main train station, but, around the place there are many good restaurants. I'd recommend the tempura place across the street. The room is small, but, it's cute, cosy and was a nice experience, good for a couple of stays.

United Statesthe height of the living room area was quite short and both myself and my partner had to duck while standing under it, and I'm 5'3". The bed was not very comfortable and was just a foam mat on the floor.
The spot is a little tiny home that was cozy. It snowed while we were there and we cuddled up on the patio with a heater. You can kind of see Mt Fuji from the room, but definitely from the facility. Laundry was convenient.

SingaporeThe property is a little low ceiling hence it might be difficult for people with height that exceeds 160cm as it will be easy to knock your head against the ceiling.
The bus stop is just located outside of the property, and it’s also just a couple of bus stops away from Kawaguchiko Station, walkable in 20mins. Pretty nice environment and atmosphere as it’s quiet and relaxing. Mt. Fuji can also be seen from outside the property.

SlovakiaMight be small for someone, the kitchen+sofa+bed area is really packed and you have to mind your head. The check-in process involves a lot of automated messages through booking.com in advance and might need some updating (it mentioned that video call will be needed, which failed during check-in but thankfully let us to proceed).
This was truly something different than staying in a regular hotel. You can try here living in a small container house for a while - with all its advantages a disadvantages. The place was really small, however well organized and equipped. But, the shower and outside area was quite big. Thanks to the loft bed, there was additional place for TV and sofa. 20 minutes walk from the train+bus station. 5 mins walk to the lake. 2 mins to konbini. Good Japanese style restaurant across the street. Good Chinese restaurant 2 mins walk upstreet. Automated check-in and check-out process at any time. Separate reception room with more amenities - like washing machines and additional equipment to take. Opportunity to have private BBQ outside with all the equipment and instructions provided.

SingaporeI was told we could check in from 2.55pm but when we tried to check in it was not allowed. We had to wait till 3pm exactly. If we are not allowed to check in from 2.55pm, they should not have told us that. Heater outside wasn’t working. Aircon heater in room only heated top of the cabin and not below. Room was really, really small. Had to brush our teeth in the kitchen sink. There were also no instructions on how to use the tv.
Key collection was self service but was quite fast and easy. Location was great, near bike rentals, convenience stores. Great view of Mt Fuji.
