Leaving. Too much to see and do and not enough time.

Right in the middle of deer park ,such a beautiful location. Friendly staff and people all around. Yummy food. Lots of souvenirs. Food available down the strip. Amazing views and temples right across from you. Lots of deer. Comfy cozy room. Big bathtub, shampoo, conditioner etc provided Washing machine,fridge , microwave etc. Definitely would come back again. So peaceful.

The couch had some stains, but it seemed to be paint. Other than that, everything was clean.

The location is perfect - right inside Deer Park. The deer come to your window to eat the crackers they sell all around the Lodge. The room had been remodeled, so everything was new. Staff was very friendly, spoke several languages (Japanese, English and Spanish), and helped us with parking.

It’s more of a hike from the station than Google suggests but a bus gets you relatively close. There are stairs if you have any injuries or handicaps.

This place is much much nicer than the pictures suggest. The room and the common area / lounge / kitchen are great. And there are two restaurants - albeit ones that close early - footsteps away. The deer aren’t as dense here as in other places but this was a peaceful and relaxing night - dare I say magical one - on our trip that turned out to be a highlight. The staff was so friendly and warm, storing our bags before and after and carrying them up the stairs eagerly in the rain. His suggestion on where to walk at night really paid off as well. It was a cute little apartment we said goodbye to reluctantly. Nara is a lovely place if you stay here; so glad we chose it over the station.

Great experience to stay in a park with full of wild deer walking outside of the facility. Love the quiet environment especially when it is almost sunset and very short walking distance to the nearby attraction places. Staff is really helpful and providing guidance for the park. Will certainly visiting this place again in the near future!

The couch in the room wasn't particularly comfortable to sit on, little bit of a walk to the city center but the location more than makes up for it.

Absolutely amazing and unique location, woke up to deer roaming around directly outside the back door. Full cooking facilities available, washing machine in the unit and the shower room had a clothes drying function, friendly staff.

We had a ground floor apartment & lots of tourists walking past so had to keep the blinds closed or everyone would be able to see straight in. We were out all day & left early during our stay so it was only an issue when we first checked in which was in the afternoon. Once it got dark (which was 5pm when we were there) the tourists all left.

The staff were lovely and the room was spacious & cheap. Lots of deer & temples close by. Great shower & bath with lots of room, we were very happy with the facilities. Be prepared to do a lot of walking as it is a bit of a walk to the main city area, there is a bus, but we chose to walk.

You can't get a better location than the heart of Nara park--we literally had the famous Nara deer right outside our front glass-fronted doors. The room itself was a tad dingy but nothing to write home about. It did have an exceptionally nice bathroom though which looked to be completely redone recently. great place to stay in Nara with friendly and helpful staff!

Location could not have been any better: being inside the park, especially at night when the buz of the day is gone, with the stunning temples and shrines around, softly lit at night, was one of the best experiences ever. As for the room itself: sparkling clean, washing machine included (good for us motorbikers), spacious. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Would definitely return any time.

Nothing, it met our expectations as described in the overview. Superb staff and very informative. Maybe the deer poop... but I think that was out of the staffs control (haha).

We loved being in the park. At night, when all the tourists left, we walked around and engaged the deers. It was excellent. We knew the limitations of the location (ie: no restaurants around) and we were prepared. This was a superb value.

Located right in the famous Nara deer park. The deers will appear in the front door. It is cute. It is also very convenient to visit the famous Dondaji temple.

The bed and pillows were a bit hard, my girlfriend had a bit of trouble sleeping. Not much of an issue though.

We had deer in front of the room all day long, and even could feed them from our room - simply an extraordinary stay. The room was simple but well kept. Even though there is no dryer for wet clothes, you can just use the drying function of the shower room, there are even hangers provided for that purpose.

Very clean and spacious room with modern amenities. Deer came right up to our window while we drank coffee in the morning. A truly special experience! (Plus there is a washing machine in the room 👍)

The location was the selling point for this hotel. We couldn’t have asked for a more centrally located place right in the middle of all the major sites. Right next to one of the world heritage sites and only a fifteen minute walk through the park to Todai-Ji, we loved exploring the park. The staff were also very welcoming and nice. The only difficulty with the hotel was that it was a little hard to get to with luggage, which is why we decided to take a taxi, and that everything shuts early at around 5pm or earlier.
