From all the places we stayed in Japan, this was our favorite. Everything was perfect - the combination of a peaceful atmosphere with a very comfortable place. We got the option with dinner and breakfast, which we can only recommend - everything was very well prepared and delicious. The highlight of course is the private onsen, which can provide a well needed resting for travelers like us, who walk a lot during vacation. The staff was very kind and helpful.

We absolutely loved everything about Mozumo! We were two couples travelling together, we stayed for one night and had dinner all together in one of the rooms. The rooms were very beautiful, in traditional style, comfortable, quiet, and the private onsen was incredible. As for the dinner, one of the best we've ever had. And the staff was extremely polite and helpful. Thumbs up to the lady that was serving our dinner, she was so kind, made us feel so welcome and cared for our every need. Overall, it's a 200% recommended experience!

From the moment we arrived, we were met with the highest professionalism and hospitality. The in-room onsen and amazing food gave us a weekend of rest and relaxation that would have been hard to find anywhere else. If we are ever back in Japan, we hope to stay here again!

Dinner needs to be reserved 5 days prior and they tell you upfront. Only put this here because we booked the room 3 months prior and there was no short notice for dinner reservation and ended up forgetting to do so. Japan travel planning is complex and these details are missable. Lucklily the staff was able to provide an exception.

Lovely all the way through, the dinner set was the highlight and the staff extreme helpfull. Excelent for those who want a first experience with a Ryokan.

Nothing! The only comment was it was expensive but worth the cost to me, so it's not an issue.

The staff were friendly, helpful and light-hearted. The room was comfortable, spacious, had good fixtures and amenities and the private onsen was incredible. The dinner and breakfast (cost additional) were the best food I have ever had. A fantastic place to stay and I will return soon!

Stunning place between the mountains with natural hot springs. The hotel has secluded rooms with private pools with a wonderful view of the forest and garden. Spacious rooms with tatami mats, where they served us dinner and breakfast. The dinner was definitely a great experience and totally worth the money. The same goes for breakfast. Stuff was extremely attentive and really kind. Our biggest regret is that we have booked only one night.

We loved the subtile and tasteful architecture of the place. Everything was beautiful in its simplicity. The private onsen was fantastic especially with the forest in the background.
