Washer was so confusing and took forever. Beds and pillows were not comfortable. Had small kitchenette but no sponges or paper towels.

Incredible location! Really big space (especially for Japan) Highly recommend the Matcha cafe MANDARACHA for an authentic matcha experience.

No English instructions on washer/dryer

Fantastic location, walkable to many sites, restaurants, konbinis and supermarkets. Room was comfortable and it was nice to have a washer/dryer - I just wish instructions were provided in English on how to use it - we just had to wing it. Luggage locks were located in the lobby which we used after checkout. We used to taxi to get to and from the train station as we had a lot of luggage. Easy train ride to Fushimi Inari but Arashiyama took some effort.

There is a lot of security at this building! Every door has passcodes that you need to remember to enter and exit, instead of a key or door pass.

Convenient location with lots of restaurants around. Walking distance to a lot of attractions including the Gion district. Clean room. Convent laundry facilities. There is no car parking at the hotel but there is a paid car park right next door so we didn't have any issues finding somewhere to park.

You need to get a bus from Kyoto station to get there which is tricky with luggage so we just got a taxi. The kitchenette wasn’t very functional. No cutlery/plates/bowls etc and no cloth or washing up liquid. The microwave was handy though. No staff around to ask about anything but there is a phone you can call them on. We called and asked them to order us a taxi when we were leaving and they declined.

Good sized rooms. Plenty of room for 3 futons on the floor for our kids. Loved the fact it had a washing machine. Code for the door meant no chance of losing keys or keycards. Close to Gion district for exploring the old town, but far enough away to be quiet. 5 min walk to a 7-11 and 10 min walk to train station. 20 min walk in to shopping district.

The room was spacious, which made us very comfortable with our suitcases. It is in a very good location, right next to Gion and some other attractions while it is also on a quiet street. Check-in and checkout process is very easy.

Not flexible. I tried to request a little extension of an extra 20 mins just to be able to finish the clothes we were drying in the maching but they wanted to charge us for the extended time. Bigger hotels can do this. Also where our room was (102) there was constant noise from above like little kids running up and down. We could hear constant thumping noises.

Check-in opens late (4pm), check-out is early (10am). Reading these reviews I thought they would've added kitchen supplies by now, but there is still no cutlery, bowls or plates. We never saw anyone at the front desk ever to ask, would've happily paid a deposit for them if they're worried about damages. A small breakfast bar/ dining table would've been nice too.

I would have liked an earlier check - in and far more secure facility to leave luggage since the reception is not attended. It would be good to have a way of calling for taxis for those without a Japanese mobile no.

My bedroom was on the ground floor with no view. Staff couldn't really communicate in English.

Great value for money. Close proximity to Kiyomizu-dera shrine. Plenty of small shrines in the neighbourhood. Comfy bed. The best is the washing machine!

Dryer was pretty bad on the combined washer/dryer- we ran it for 6 hours and still had quite damp clothes. No ability to talk to staff re sending on luggage/get a luggage send form.

Great location and surprisingly large room especially for the price and Japan standard. Comfortable bed and easy check out process.
