Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere is another hotel called the B Nagoya and the taxi driver even if we mentioned Nagoya B hotel, had brought us to the wrong hotel. Best that you have the hotel’s address in Japanese to show the taxi driver. Taxi driver was kind as he didn’t charge us for the wrong route.
The availability of an onsen (not spring water) in the property. After a tiring day, it’s great to unwind and relax.

FinlandBreakfast was nothing remarkable and admittedly, even if the nearest transit hubs are within a walking distance, it's still a bit of a hike every day.
The location was within a walking distance from Nagoya station and Fushimi subway station, providing easy access to the city. A free shuttle bus back to Nagoya station when checking out was a pleasant surprise. Room was small-ish but still quite decent, and the facilities are really quite comprehensive, from a spa and massage chairs to vending machines and a smoking room.

New ZealandBreakfast is basic. Some rolls - no butter - yoghurt and soup. Clearly suits the clientele, large proportion Japanese workers, as there was queue down the hall before 6.30 breakfast opening everyone in their pyjamas.
Some good additional facilities - add on gym with all the basics, good massage chairs, sauna and baths.

Love the washing machine in the room. We could get our laundry done, washing powder included. Good spread of bread, soups, yogurt and drinks available for the breakfast menu. Not near Nagoya Station but there is a free shuttle that takes guest to the station. While looking for a place for dinner, found a Donki store nearby in a small mall. There is a small foodcourt and some restaurants in the bldg. Also, Matsumoto Kiyoshi in the same mall. Good onsen facilities in the hotel. Massage chairs and various types of rooms for guest to use for free. The hotel made effort to provide information about the nice restaurants around the area in a pamphlet (but in Japanese).

United KingdomFor me, I was not familiar with Nagoya city so it was difficult to find where to catch the free hotel microbus from Nagoya station. In the end I took a taxi from Nagoya station and was a 5 min ride. (under 1,000yen). The breakfast had 2 types of soups, croissants/cheese bun/strawberry pastries, yogurt and coffee/tea. The eating area was a bit small for about 20 people to eat and felt not relaxing because people kept on arriving constantly.
Modern business hotel with a big bath which is a bonus. The staffs were helpful and attentive. The twin room had 2 big double bed big enough for 2 adults. There was a set of pyjama and towels, a bag to take to the bath. There were free water and cofee machine at the Reception. The hotel offered a free microbus ride to station in the morning every 30 minutes (between 8-10:30am) but needed to grab a ticket early in the morning due to each bus only took 8 people.

FinlandLocation is bit far from Nagoya station by foot (hotel offers a shuttle bus which we didn't know about until at checkout).
The "spa floor" is awesome. Nice common bath with few different pools, massage chairs (which were so much fun), "bedrock" room, manga and TV area, gym, and a laundry. Breakfast was also decent. Have few types of croissants and some other options to choose from.

ThailandThe loaction which is in the middle of every places. The parking lot which have to call the lift and wait for car to come out at least 10mins for every time and parking price has no discount for guest, its' price is the same rate from surrounding area.
Good hotel with plenty of facilities, we reserved for several types of rooms which consist of room for 2 and for 3 persons. Room for 3 has the washing machine inside which is good for us who travel for 11 days with less clothes prepared. The room cleaniless and other amennities are good enough. The breakfast is good yet less type of food to choose, still we can enjoy the bakery that's baked fresh every morning with coffee from the counter. They have free onsen, sauna, and many more which we have no time to use some of them. The location is good for us who travel by car, it is in the middle of Nagoya station, Nagoya city museum, Nagoya castle, Onsu temple and Sakae station yet might not be good for walking to any place if intend travel by train.

AustraliaSmall room and old feel. Not tattoo friendly.
The room was a bit small and the hotel felt a bit old but the staff are all really friendly and helpful. We were able to park our car easily and safely inside the hotel (with car elevator). Great and free massage chairs. Unfortunately we have tattoos and they’re very strict with that rule so we couldn’t use the onsen but we used the rock beds as our tattoos were covered by the pyjamas provided by the hotel.
