Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongNot a disklike. Just a suggestion. Didn't know they have mikimoto spa for facial and body treatments, should have booked in advance and hope the hotel would advertise more and send us message with details of their available activities and spa after we made booking. Then we could have planned to come earlier to make use of it.
Got many activities available for a fee. Have morning yoga class. Although conduct in Japanese but still able to follow the poses with instructor. Got bonfire marshmallow at the outside area for free. Summer time would be nice to come here. But I can tell the room rate would probably twice what I am paying now. As summer time the outdoor area would be nice to have many of the outdoor activities available. The breakfast got many choices, love their pudding and steamed tofu. All home made not those commercial flavors. Free coffee at the Cafe area.

AustraliaReally enjoyed the free activities such as the bonfire and marshmallow event. The pearl spa experience and the natural fruit juice was very enjoyable. Hotel staff was amazingly helpful and courteous and even reminded me that my light in the car was left on. The postal service is a really nice touch which allowed us to send post cards that we purchased in our travels. There were even little snacks and green tea representing the local area Ise's foods completely free! There was even a torch for night walking.

ChinaExtraordinarily caring services. Amiable staff who thoutfully prepared every detail. Special appreciation to the gentleman who treated me very professionally throughout the stay. Although a relatively old resort, the room is decently sized to fit a family of three with great view of Ise-shima National park. The refurnishment made the experience with no compromise. The onsen offered at the resort is clean while offering a variety of pools. The dinner and breakfast are also of good quality. It is strongly recommended because of its value!

CanadaThe view was great, but the building roofs kind of block it depending on what floor you're staying.

JapanThe staff was fantastic. Right from the point of driving up to the entrance- the luggage pick up to our rooms was very efficient - the receptionist was very polite and professional and explained everything well to our mixed group of middle-aged and old. It was also nice that my nationality was not the focus, I was spoken to in Japanese and the point of the trip was for us all to enjoy the hotel and the facilities (not my home country!). Thank you.

Hong KongThe price is quite high for a stay during the weekdays. However it can be regarded as value for money when taking into account the good quality of food offered for breakfast and dinner. The location is not close to the sight seeing tourist spots.
The staff is very nice, especially the lady who speaks Mandarin and works at the reception counter. I like the western style beds rather than tatami.

SingaporeThe hotel is quite a distance from anywhere so driving would be ideal.
The lobby was huge and impressive with lots of arm chairs. Coffee was provided free and there were even a record player on site for guests for try out the vinyls of some classics. There is a gift store too right next to the reception and it had some Mikimoto pearl products available. We stayed in a tatami room for 4. The room was quite traditional, clean and reasonably spacious. The onsen was decent with indoor and outdoor sections. Refreshments in the form of some fruit drink were provided outside the onsen. There happened to be a star gazing activity at 9pm at a small clearing 5min on foot from the hotel. There were deck chairs provided and the presenter actually had an impressively strong green laser to point at the constellations. Pretty cool. After that, we roasted some marshmallows at a camp fire before heading back. Coffee was also provided. Considering it was a free activity, it really made the stay special. The rate we paid was also very very reasonable.

JapanThe swimming pool is only open between July - August, which is a pity.
The resort was a wonderful escape from the city. The location was beautiful and there were plenty of activities inside. However, I was impressed the most by the staff. Our room came with breakfast, but one morning we overslept and missed it. The staff happily exchanged it for lunch (for free), about we were extremely surprised.
