Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesThere is no Buffet breakfast available at the Hotel. No Coffee Vendo Machine. Though there is a Family Mart nearby. There is no weighing scale as we want to weigh our luggages. They don't clean the room daily unless you put the clean the room sign. There are no cabinets for your clothes.
There is a Bus Stop just outside of the Hotel. There is a Train/Subway Station near the hotel (around 5 minutes walk). There is a 24 hr grocery beside the train station (Sunny) and a Yakinuku resto also (though we haven't tried it). The front desk is on the 2d floor. You can get your amenities also in this floor like bath robe, toothbrush/tootpaste/hairbrush/tea/washing cloth/dental floss etc. There's a microwave, Ice machine, Washing Machine and Vendo for beers/tea/soda. Walking distance going to HAKATA Station. When you exit the Hotel, turn left, walk around 5 minutes. When you reach the main Road or you will see the train station/Sunny grocery, turn left and walk straight, around 15 minutes and you will reach Hakata Station. Hakata Station has a mall with lots of shops and restos to choose from. You can spend the whole day here. Walking distance going to DON QUIJOTE (shopping for gifts/souvenirs), my favorite. Exit the Hotel, turn left. Walk straight. Cross the Main Road. Walk for around 6-7 blocks then you will reach Don Quijote on your left. KURA SUSHI, the famous sushi conveyor belt, is in the same building as Don Quijote, on the 3rd floor. Then exit Don Quijote, turn left and walk 2 blocks and you will see the ICHIRAN Main Store/Headquarters (very famous Ramen rest) on your right. From Don Quijote also, walk 2-3 blocks, you will reach a bridge. If you turn left, you can see CANAL CITY and you can walk going there. Turn Right and you will reach the TENJIN area. In totality, you can easily WALK from the hotel going to famous places/restos in Fukuoka like the TikTok famous I'm Donut. Or if you don't like to walk then you can easily ride the bus just outside the hotel. We did a lot of walking especially after we had our dinner as the Hotel is really near to various good restos and the weather is so nice.

Brunei DarussalamNot such a big problem for us but the room is pretty small. It may be difficult for some people to move around the room especially if you have shopping and pieces of luggage with you. There isn't any closet to hang your clothes just some hooks on the wall, so if you're the kind who likes to hang clothes, you'll have to compromise.
It was near the subway, also bus stop. Taxi can come directly to main entrance of hotel. The staff called the taxi for us to go to airport. Everything seems to be within walking distance or bus ride away. Staff is very helpful. Vending machines inside the hotel. Bed is comfy and the multiple room lighting, so you can adjust the lighting accordingly. Despite being a small room, the hi-tech toilet comes with a hot tub so you can have a warm bath after walking around the neighbourhood. From the hotel to the airport the taxi fare was ¥2,100 which was acceptable to us because we had 4 pieces of luggage and didn't want to carry those around the subway / station to Fukuoka International airport.

JapanThe bed was too firm for my liking (Canadian, prefer soft beds). The outlets at the bed were right by the pillows, which was annoying. But there were other outlets available further away.
Simple check-in and check-out. Room was nice and quiet. Hakata old town locations were nearby, so it was nice to wander around.

CanadaNowhere to put clothes and luggage, so just had to leave stuff on the ground. But not a big deal if you are traveling alone.
Very cozy room and the bathroom made it even better. The shower felt great after a long day of walking and it had a separate door from the toilet. The location was convenient and there were a few convenience stores nearby. Big bed but little space to walk. Overall very satisfied.

Japan- The hotel staff didn't respond to my messages on Booking.com. - The amenities could be better. - There were noisy sounds from the corridor that can be heard clearly from the room.
The receptionist staff gave us a free upgrade of the room (with toilet and bathroom separate). There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and there are buses that go straight to Hakata station.
