There was no laundry service. Surely they could have an arrangement .

The staff accommodated our bikes into a special storage area. We were able to fix them too on the balcony area.

It seems like the hotel was a luxurious hotel in the 90s but now it feels old and they could do a bigger effort with cleanliness, specially the bathroom that was quite mouldy.

It is literally right in front of the train station, 2 minutes walk.

It is an old fashioned hotel. Still using key to room and turning knobs in bathroom. No big issue.

Mar 30-Apr 1. Hotel is just next to train station. Exit is the other side from Himeji Castle. Room was clean and comfortable although we found the bed a bit small. (We are mid sized Asians). Reception is on second floor. Walk to the other station exit and the buses to Himeji attractions are just there. There is a tourist info centre at the train station. Lots of eateries near train station and along the walk to Himeji Castle.

Some rooms is old and out of date. I understand that the hotel is during renovation. Should show in booking detail. My aunt don't know about this and her room was very old.

Rooms are very dated and really need a refurbishment unless xou want to "time travel" back to the early 80''s. Beds and bedding was very comfortable though and room is equipped with coffee maker and kettle.

Great location opposite the train Station in the Center of town. Very nice breskfast with a choice of Japanese and western dishes. Very friendly staff..

Nothing to dislike. Everyone we encountered at the Nikko made our prolonged stay over a busy time of year one of the most memorable in recent years.

My wife's family live in Himeji & Amaji so the Nikko was ideally situated for visiting family and the train station is within easy walk. We have dined there in the Nikko restaurants over many years but never had the pleasure of staying there. This was our first stay. Without realising, the room we initially booked was far too small for us which was definitely our fault. The reception staff were extremely helpful in finding us two alternative rooms over the 9 nights which was not easy due to the hotel being heavily booked over the new year holiday period. The reception staff went out of their way to make our stay a positive one including organising for our luggage to be forwarded to our next hotel in Kyoto using Yamato Courier Service. A coffee catchup with family in the lounge was delightful especially the delicious sweet treats! The teppanyaki restaurant is one of our favourite dining places whenever we return to Himeji. The breakfast buffet incorporating Western and Japanese offerings was excellent. As were the friendly dining room staff who recognised us each morning during our lengthy stay. My wife particularly appreciated the kind assistance offered to her as she was wearing a hand brace. Will definitely stay at the Nikko again. Thankyou for looking after us!!!

Rooms are small, but we expect that and get used to it. No communal lounge, which would be agood feature for places witlh small rooms.

Great value cheap hotel right next to the station (if you're sick of lugging those heavy bags) and walking distance of the castle. Otherwise it's a pretty standard 'business hotel', very clean, modern and comfortable, with all sorts of amenities offered, but a small room especially for two people!

Only a few minutes walk to Himeji JR Station - a very convenient and easy base. The room was comfortable; small but no more so than other Japanese stays I've experienced. Good value for money; I'd stay here again.
