Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Australia- not a social hotel - smoking area is in room without window and the street area near the hotel are no-smoke zones.
- Good breakfast - Modern and well equiped rooms - Great view and green neighbourhood - A lot of small descriptive labels on stuff to make it easy for guest to use them - A grocery store and fafe downstairs (independent) - Near walking distance of some attractions - coin-based washing machines

United StatesThe location was great! Close to the train station and walkable to Shibuya area. New, modern building. Lobby is located on the 9th floor, with a expansive view looking into the baseball stadium located acriss the street and the city view behind. We stayed 3 nights in a room with a full bed for a couple. Efficient, clean, well designed space that modern abd good value for Tokyo standards. The public bath for each gender was very nice. Vert clean, new and well designed. Staff was helpful and friendly. We did not eat on property so cannot comment on the restaurant. Highly recommebd!

NetherlandsThe public bath isn't tattoo friendly, which was a pity and I wish it would've been communicated better. Surprisingly we've seen only tattoo friendly onsen in the small towns and expected the same from such a large urban hotel. Nevertheless, the bath in the room was perfectly fine.
Spacious rooms with great view over the baseball court. The location is excellent, a lot of interesting things in the area.

SingaporeThe bed was dirty on the first day. I had to request for a roller to roll the dust off my bed.
Near-ish to the metro station. The onsen was relatively decent too.

JapanExcellent! The hotel is a straight walk out of exit 2a (stairs only, 2b has escalators) of Gaienmae station (Ginza Line). The reception is on the 9th floor (labeled LB in the elevator) and the rooms are from the 10 floor upwards. I didn't know there was a public bath but I couldn't use it during my stay anyway. It's small but serves it purpose! The rooms are very spacious for Japanese hotels and well organized. The toilet and bath were separate making the bathroom more spacious. I had an East facing room right over one of the stadium and it was excellent. I got to see the sunrise in the morning over the city with my cup of tea and even saw a bit of a college baseball game late in the morning. It seems the southwest(?) facing rooms could give you a view of Mt. Fuji! I got a shock passing by a room during cleaning! There are plenty of convenience stores on the way to the hotel and there seems to be a 7/11 in the narrow streets behind the hotel. If you like long walks, you could even take the main road down to Omotesando and further on to Shibuya station. Water was provided in the room but you have to get amenities from the lobby. The receptionists were very kind and welcoming. I would be happy to stay in the hotel again and even recommend it to others.

United StatesWith no real closet (has a small area to hang 4 or so items) or drawers, I had to live out of my suitcase. Not a problem for myself but if traveling with someone, a larger room would of definitely been needed.
The location was pretty good, with metro lines going in either direction within 10-15min walk. The rooms was super clean and updated, the water pressure in shower is something I wish I could have taken home. The size of my room was enough for myself.

United StatesThe pillows were not comfortable. While the location is nice because it's quiet, it's a bit out of the way so if you want quick access to lots of restaurants, shops, etc., you'll need to walk, take a taxi and/or use public transportation.
Spacious room by Japanese standards. Clean facilities. The location is very quiet. Nice view of the baseball stadium. Courteous staff.

NetherlandsAs with all hotels in Japan (from my experience), the breakfast options are somewhat lacking, in my opinion. For what you pay it's not worth it to have breakfast in the hotel, you're better off finding a nearby kissaten or something like that.
Very friendly and helpful staff. all English speaking. I had a problem with some strange humming coming seemingly from a large machine somewhere in the hotel, that prevented me from sleeping well the first night. They said they would investigate it, and I don't know what they did but for the rest of the stay the noise was gone! Amazing professional service, very much appreciated. The room was small but not cramped with a nice, firm bed, clean sheets, a clean bathroom with high-tech washlet :) And a small refrigerator in the room, which was essential for me. Location was also perfect! In a quiet, spacious area of Tokyo, next to the stadium that you can take a nice morning walk around. And close to the metro system, and walking distance from at least 2convenience stores. Next time I will definitely book again in this area of Tokyo.

The staff were very professional and accommodating. Ueno-San in particular was extremely helpful :) There is a convenience store on the first floor. Great amenities. There is a floor dedicated to a public bath which is nice to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. I would definitely return to this hotel the next time I’m in Japan.

AustraliaThere wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property. Although I was a little confused when I first arrived and I couldn’t find or see the reception area as it was located on the 9th floor. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen that
I liked everything about the property. No complaints at all.
