Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanNothing in particular with the hotel itself, but I wish the restaurant that supposedly serves breakfast every day from 7 am actually did serve breakfast (variety of breads, cheeses, cereal, fruits etc = breakfast food) and not a "all you can eat" Japanese lunch food buffet from 7 am.
We've used this hotel multiple times for our skiing trips to nearby Fujiten and it's always excellent and very convenient. We're really pleased with Hotel Noborisaka and have already a new reservation for this week. The rooms are always super clean and comfortable for a budget hotel.

JapanEvery time I use the heater, my room smells like cigarette smoke. The 2nd floor smells like smoke. Maybe someone smoke in their room smoke even it is not allowed. ;( it made my head hurts...
The facilities and the price is cheap for the facilities. They also upgrade my room for free. I like their free massage chair, sauna, public bath in close and open setting, and the best is the working area. The room is also spacious with table and chair on the side of the bed.

JapanThe breakfast restaurant doesn't really serve breakfast, it's more like an all you can eat Japanese food buffet that opens at 7 am. For breakfast, they have only 2 options of bread, butter, jam, orange juice, yogurt and coffee. I have no complaints for the hotel itself at all, super happy with it and we already have other reservations until ski season is over.
My husband and I have stayed at Hotel Noborisaka previously, since it's conveniently located about 15 minutes from Fujiten, a small ski resort we go skiing at. The hotel has parking lot, 2 very nice massage chairs that guests can use for free to soothe after skiing sore legs and the room we stay at has a very nice bathtub, which is awesome after a skiing day as well. There are some restaurants nearby easily accessible by a short walk and Lawson (corner shop) is next to it. They have several vending machines throughout the hotel building that sell soda, juice, coffee, beer etc. There's a breakfast restaurant available from 7 am but unfortunately the breakfast variety is not very good, they do have a Japanese food all you can eat buffet that is more like lunch food, not breakfast, so for breakfast only 2 kinds of bread, butter, jam, yogurt, coffee and orange juice. For 1,100 is a bit steep but convenient nevertheless for those of us who don't like Japanese food. The room is spacious for the price, clean, enough outlets to plug our devices and the beds and pillows are really comfy. This is definitely our hotel to stay at for weekend skiing at Fujiten. Really recommend it!

JapanWe loved everything about it!!! The location is amazing, the rooms are spacious, modern, super clean and has all the amenities we needed. The most different thing we found (and loved) was the soft toothbrush. I know it seems silly, but I usually only use the hotel's toothbrush when extremely necessary because they're always too hard, but Noborisaka had beautiful and soft ones. The hot spring bath is small but awesome. There are two indoors and one outdoors (at least for the ladies). In the room on our way to the onsen, there are two spectacular massage chairs (for free!!) Also, we were so well treated and served. The staff is really helpful and it's very clear they work as a team. I have to give credit to the foreigner employee who helped me a lot answering all my questions in English with a big smile on his face (sorry, I didn't catch his name). The day we check in, we found this nice restaurant just next door that served a delicious dinner buffet with a bunch of homemade food. The next morning we found out that was the exact same place that served breakfast for the hotel guests and we couldn't be happier about it!! It was such a delightful surprise!
