Room was quite small for 3/4 pax. There was a huge cockroach at the hotel entrance.

Near the train station, easy to find. Well-priced.

Only one laundromat for the whole building which is OK if not a lot of people use it but can be problematic The mirror in my room was for some reason really hot in the center (not an issue though just surprised me)

Close to the station. I really appreciate the fact that the room is dark so you are not woken up because of the sun in the Morning. Might be a little too dark if you stay during the day (need to use the lights) Check in and check out was smooth Bed confortable. Quite a new facility, in a quiet area

Excellent location and value! Short walk in covered shopping street from the train station to the hotel so you can avoid the rain. Clean room for a very low price.

Sound proofing is not very good.

Conveniently located in downtown area with super nice staff. Rooms are comparatively bigger than other business chain brands.

The photos showed a small seating area in the room which I did not have. The desk had no chair at all, so I had to work on my computer sitting in the bed which wasn’t comfortable. Nowhere good to eat in the room as well without a chair.

The location was great. Within five minutes of the airport bus and a major JR station, and close to two tram stops as well. The room was clean and comfortable with lots of free amenities provided. The TV was huge and the perfect place to watch from in bed. You could easily log onto Netflix or Hulu if you have an account and watch those. Great water pressure in the shower and bathtub filled up quickly.

The hotel is a bit impersonal. The single washing machine and dryer seems inadequate for a hotel of this size.

Fantastic location for walking to local restaurants and making early morning Shinkansen connections. A no frills, clean, comfortable, western-style hotel.

We liked the location of the hotel. It was only 200m or so from Kagoshima Chou train station. Its location in an arcade means that when it’s raining you can walk to the hotel without getting wet. Also, it is surrounded by a vibrant restaurants area so you don’t have to go far for a great meal. We particularly liked the staff. They were extremely helpful and patient and went to a lot of trouble to meet our needs. When we asked to extend our stay they took the trouble to arrange it so that we could have the same room. The Hotel Noir is a brand new hotel. It is clean and tidy and it has all the amenities we have come to expect in a hotel: laundry, ice dispenser, free coffee, etc I’m very happy to recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for a night while waiting for my new apartment to be ready. The location is super close to the station and restaurants, etc. It's very convenient. The staff were so nice!! I felt very welcomed. The room was nice, big bed, big bath. I could even watch Netflix on the TV. Overall I recommend this hotel if you're stopping by Kagoshima city.

The bathroom ceiling was very low, and I (192cm tall) barely fit without bending my back. Tall people beware.

The location is excellent, being in a covered street right by Kagoshima Station. The beds were comfortable. There's also a coin laundry machine in the hotel, which was very practical.

The staff couldn't speak a lot of English, but still managed to communicate and was very friendly.

The hotel has a really good location, very close to the station. The staff was very friendly and the room had everything you could possibly need. Totally new and high quality. You get free coffee from an automatic coffee machine in the lobby. The room was bigger than other business hotels we had

Nothing, it was immaculate and had everything I needed! As mentioned above, there are no views from some rooms and the building next door was inches away from my window. I could open the window for some fresh air though, which I love about Japanese hotels.

Great location, 5 to 10 minutes walk from Kagoshima Chuo Shinkansen station and the ideal spot to stay in Kagoshima (don’t stay near the other Kagoshima station!). Easy access to the tram (streetcar) that will take you where you need to go in Kagoshima. Plenty of fabulous food and restaurant options nearby and at the train station. The hotel feels and looks brand new, and the rooms are average Japanese hotel size, but have everything you will need. The only downside (if you want a view) is that the hotel is in between other buildings, so some rooms have no view other than the wall of the building next door. For the price though, spend 500 yen and go on the ferris wheel above the train station for a spectacular view of Kagoshima and Sakurajima volcano. Definitely recommend a stay here!
