There is no any window in the room.

The location is super great, very convenient to go anywhere by walk. and the perfect thing is the washing machine in the room, and the free snack and coffee.

The only thing we found odd and impractical was the wooden bathtub in the middle of the room - we never used it, it was only taking valuable space. Looks great on the interior pictures though :)

The rooms are large enough, the washing machine is an amazing perk; perfect location - very central yet quiet.

We couldn’t work out how to use the washing machine as it was all in Japanese!

Location is amazing! And the free sake in the evenings was good fun. The wooden hot tub is also lovely, and great to have a washing machine.

The two primary negatives of the room: there was a random step about 5cm high in the middle of the room, which I consistently ran into because its placement is a bit ridiculous. Should be covered by some sort of cover. The second thing was that the bathroom tap was far too close to the edge of the sink, it made it difficult to use the tap to wash hands etc.

Such a beautifully designed hotel. Perfect synergy between traditional Japanese style and more contemporary design. The room I stayed in had an awesome Hiba wooden bath which was so relaxing.

Beautiful atmosphere, lovely little hotel and room. Close to all amenities, shopping malls galore and Nishiiki market. Lovely lounge with tea/coffee/sake/snacks as part of our price. Bath in room was fantastic.

Loved the beautiful tub in the room. Space was cozy (as expected in Japan) but so comfortable. Amazing shower and loved the hotel products. The sake in the lobby was a wonderful plus!

Beautiful hotel in ideal location. Great base from which to explore Kyoto, either or foot or by nearby metro. The rooms are beautiful - we booked a room with a hiba wood bath which was so relaxing after a long day exploring the city. Beds are comfortable too. The staff are professional and friendly. Highly recommend and will stay again.

Great experience aligning with the price. Very clean. Laundry and microwave inside each room is a huge plus. Hiba wood bathtub is a highlight. Cool design - love the incense burning in each lift lobby. Comfy bed and room. Free sake selection every night - tasty too.

Great location and lovely room with free sake and soft drinks. Unable to book local restaurant for new year but they provided great soba noodles recommendations. Would definitely stay here again- very relaxing ☺️

Nice large room and really handy to have a washing machine in the room. Loved the bath tub. Good location. We ordered breakfast in advance and it was amazing. Free sake tasting in the lobby during the evening was a nice touch.

The room size was perfect, clean, and tidy, hotel staff is almost 24 hours there, we arrived late around 11:00 pm and were still available for check-in, The hotel location is very convenient to each spot, by foot, by train, or by bus. Suggest for all travelers.

Absolutely loved the hotel! My partner and I loved the location to the centre of Kyoto but also enjoyed the combination of both traditional and modern style within the hotel. We especially loved the “all you can drink” sake in the evenings whilst in the stunning lobby of the hotel. Our room was super spacious, more than enough for two people. Also! The wooden bathtub was absolutely amazing!!! Would definitely come here again!

Bedding. Sheets, pillows, and comforter were on the thin side. Since the courtyard is open air it gets more cold in the rooms quickly at night.
