The bunk beds aren't my favorite. I would've preferred just a larger futon instead. The room itself is quite small, like a normal studio in Japan.

Good location, near some good restaurants. Just far enough from the busy areas that it's quiet. The host provided great notes on directions and public transit to popular places. It was good for a short stay in Kumamoto. The internet was surprisingly very good. The apartment has all the tools you need to cook yourself as well.

It turns out that since I had last slept on a proper futon (many years before), I have gotten older and my back doesn’t like the thickness of a single regular futon anymore. I would have liked to have put the second futon mattress down on top for extra padding, but it was very high up on a shelf and I couldn’t reach it.

Close to tram lines, easy to get to places like Kumamoto castle. Not so far from train station that if you need to take a taxi it won’t be too expensive. Good size and price for a solo traveler. The 7-11 across the road is handy if you don’t feel like cooking yourself. Post office within walking distance (next to tram stop). Staying in this apartment really made me reminisce back to when I lived in Japan teaching English.

The room has puzzle foam mats, and I'm unsure how often these are cleaned or washed. Though it might not be the case, I feel like the mat has a smell. The neighborhood gives off a vibe that you might encounter yakuza or gangsters, but it could just be our perception.

The property is well-maintained, and the check-in process was smooth. I could feel that the host had put effort into making the room cozy and comfortable for everyone to stay. There are multiple transportation options to reach the property, including walking from the station, taking the tram, or using the bus.

Clean and convenient for a solo traveler that wants to visit Kumamoto city. It is close to a lot of places like museums, the castle, and shops. It is also easy to reach by public transportation.

Near to bus terminal and shopping areas. Host is very responsive and check in was a breeze. Very comfortable apartment with everything you need for a cozy stay. Strong heating.

A short walk to tram stations. 7 Eleven is just opposite. Comfortable bed, fully-equipped apartment. The apartments are well-maintained and very clean. The owner is nice and friendly.

It is the typical 1K apartment so it may be a little cramped with 2 people.

Owner is very nice. Located close to Kumamoto station as well as both tram lines. Washing machine, mini kitchen, and good wifi. Paid parking is also available nearby.

Bathroom felt a little cramped, and a slightly thicker mattress could be good.

Location was fantastic, felt like there was definitely enough floor space for one person! It was also well equipped, with a washing machine, small kitchen, and had lots of entertainment options too.

It was a little off the beaten path, but if you don’t mind a little bit of walking or taking the handy tram then it’s not a big issues.

Amazing value for money. It was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. It’s a tight space, but was perfect for a couple.

The bedding material wasn't very comfortable, synthetic sheets. Hopefully the owner reads this and upgrades the bedding to cotton, it doesn't cost much.

The owner met me at the building entrance, was friendly and spoke English. Nice apartment, if you want to see how most young Japanese people live I'd definitely recommend an apartment stay.

Location was not as central as we hoped. Did lots of walking. Funky smell in bathroom, but this might be due to their waste system.

Great value! Secure and quiet. this place made it affordable for us to extend our vacation. The floor felt hard at first but we slept well. We also appreciate the washing machine and laundry line on the balcony. Thank you for providing this accommodation.

It was like home. It feels like you live in the city. There are futons, a small kitchen and a low table to eat at, there's a small TV. The entire collection of One Piece manga, if you can read Japanese, which is quite cool. Shower is ridiculously powerful. There's a balcony. Free washing machine. Check in and check out was very smooth. 7-eleven literally across the road.
