Convenient to everything - short walk to places to eat, free shuttle buses to ski areas. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices. The hotel onsen was wonderful, especially the outdoor section while it was snowing. 👍👍

Larger room sizes made it very comfortable for 2 people. Onsen was really nice. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is a little out of town, but I enjoy the walk down and back for dinner. But others might not.

Only one washing machine in the laundry was working, the other two were out of order. That’s not nearly enough to service all the guests. Also, the table cloths at the restaurant aren’t replaced and cleaned daily. It had the stains from previous days on it. Thats a shame because the rooms and facilities overall are so clean and tidy.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the onsen is fantastic, the breakfast is good, and the town’s shuttle busses to the various resorts stopped right outside the hotel. It is also a quick 12 minute walk to Echoland where you can grab a dinner and drinks at various pubs / restaurants/ cafes.

Underestimated challenges of Japanese style room. Too far from town. Inhouse restaurant closed two nights of stay. Good souvenir shop but never staffed. 2 of 3 washer driers broken.

Staff helpful where possible. Great onsen. Convenient as first stop for ski shuttles.

A little outdated, but seems to be common in this area.

Big spacious room and very clean. Great facilities with the onsen and the buffet breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. AMAZING location, with free shuttles to multiple ski resorts stopping right outside the hotel, made it very easy.

The bed mats could be a little thicker.

I loved the Onsen. It was big and having the outside option is great. We had a traditional Japanese room, and it was spacious. The breakfast was good, new options every day.

15 minute walk to Echoland restaurants and 40 minutes to Happo area. Can be tough walk in the snow and send of a long day on slopes. No night shuttles or courtesy bus at night.

Has its own Onsen. Located at one end of free shuttle buses so always got a seat.

Onsite onsen was very nice after a day of snowboarding. Good breakfast options and ski buses available from the front door to most mountains.

Consider most issues are due to language barriers: The hotel restaurant requires booking a day ahead including your food order. We were not aware, and we did not get this information out until 3-5 attempts to access the restaurant/order "take-away" (which is an option on the menu). Ski rental service was adequate but difficult to get confirmation and further instructions following the emailed reservation request. Also, I wished the return time of rental equipment be 6 pm rather than 5 pm, so I could take the latest bus back without penalty on rentals. The drying and washing facilities are old and need upgrades or maintenance. The bedroom was musty, so we often left our door wide open to air it out.

Great onsen! Just use that for showering and relaxing, if you're comfortable with public bathing. The bus arrives on schedule at the door for the main ski resorts and to get to the bus terminal (and I think the train station as well). Short walk to the main street where food is (but it is a very busy street during dinnertime, so plan). One employee spoke English well, and the other staff were accommodating and polite regardless of the language barrier. Large room for 4 people, all in separate beds!

The washing machines... only 1 of the 3 machines was working. 1 washing machine to share between all of the other occupants of the hotel just doesn't cut it. There was a funny smell on the 2nd floor - I'm not sure what it was.

Having the ski shuttle bus right at the door is a big bonus. Our rooms were comfy and spacious. The breakfast was nice and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. It's not a very long walk (about 10mins) to other eateries and convenience stores. The onsen was really good too.

Hotel's restaurant's food was limited and had no vegetarian options for my wife. Area gets very busy in the evening, so it's best if you book in advance.

Staff were very helpful in getting us Skiing gear. Onsen was excellent after a long day on the slopes and also free shuttles to slopes were excellent.

We had a wonderful stay here. Employees are helpful. Rooms are spacious. Shuttle for skiing every morning. Onsen on site. Everything is perfect for a ski trip with friends or family.

Some facilities a bit old and might need update. E.g. Poor wifi, washing machine needs fixing.

The hotel is a bit outdated and is definitely due for a rennovation, especially the room we stayed in. Our toilet also had a sewage smell that we were hoping would go away but we were always welcomed by it in the early mornings and every time we returned to the room. Was not pleasant.

The room was spacious for the 4 of us, we were able to keep 2 large luggages opened and still had room to walk around without bumping into things. The snow shuttle is also just right outside the hotel!

It's a little old and could do with some modern upgrades and some nipping and tucking.

Decent Japanese breakfast, quite a short window though, so make sure you get there on time. It's an old 80's/90's hotel, lots of wood panelling, but clean and convenient. Daily shuttles to and from the slopes, good ski drying room. No complaints. Nice in house onsen for hotel guests, wonderful way to end the day.

The snowboard/ski equippment storage room was not dry enough to dry out the gears.

The breakfast was good with great variety and also taste good. The room was a bit old but spacious. The little outdoor onsen was also good if you use it after a day of ski or snowboarding activity.

It was a little far to travel with your luggage back to echo land. The only thing they are missing is a shuttle service back to base camp when you’re leaving.

Everything was amazing especially having our own private onsen at the hotel. Staff were lovely and great buffet breakfast.
