Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Interesting place with beautiful architecture. Genuinely Japanese including the breakfast. The rooms are small but everything is there.

New ZealandWasn’t expecting this but the location suited us all perfectly as was close to station, eateries, shops and most of all a lovely suburb to walk around with its camels and rivers.
Room is what we expected in Japan, we wanted to stay in a quieter suburb near a railway station so this suited us.

United StatesThe beds are super hard. Like hard as the floor. Tatami is softer. This is the only reason I rate it 9 rather than 10. If you’re staying a while, walk to the nearby Nitori and buy a mattress pad. It’s worth it and have it shipped to the next place you’re staying or take it home with you as a souvenir. The Nitori is across from the sky tree above the grocery store. The restaurants close very early right now across Tokyo so keep in mind that the grocery store (rather expensive) is probably your only option at night after 21:00. This is not the fault of the hotel but the macro environment in Tokyo right now after COVID. I also wish the hotel would open its rooftop all night or until 2 am. It currently closes at 22:00 and that was too early for us to enjoy given our itinerary.
This was our stay at the Library Suite. It is fabulous and large and has all of the amenities one could want including a home theater with a screen that electronically descends from the ceiling. This room is about twice the size of the superior king room with lots of pillows and a beautiful bathroom. The service by the staff is fabulous and they help ship your bags to the airport or your next hotel via Yamato Kuroneko. Just ask. And they receive packages on your behalf if you order online from companies such as Amazon. I would not pay for the breakfast since there are several options nearby as you walk to the train station or sky tree mall. The location is less convenient but the quality of the hotel and the soundproofing and view make up for this. I prefer the quiet neighborhood with direct access from the airport on the train. I will stay here again as a base for future trips in Tokyo. Look to see what is available each day of your stay because sometimes switching rooms is preferable over staying in those super small rooms that dominate the hotel.

United StatesThe bed is very hard. Like harder than a futon mattress on a floor. It’s super hard in the five room types we stayed in. Not the fault of the hotel but if you’re getting back in from a day trip, no restaurants will be open. This is a Tokyo thing post covid. Many things close at 8 or 9. The location isn’t that ideal for Shibuya or Shinjuku but it’s great for access to the airport - though get ready for the steps. I saw a lot of foreigners and they seemed to like the trade off with location for low. They’re always running low on space because of their popularity. Keep checking online to see if their bigger rooms become available. We loved the suites and the king rim in their
The library suite was amazing. There is a projector that works like a movie theater and also broadcasts TV. The amenities for the suite are lovely and the staff really helped out with receiving packages and send the luggage to the airport. This hotel has a fabulous view from the roof of the skytree.

SingaporeRoom was a bit cramped. There wasn't much space for baggage, which I thought wasn't very well considered.
Good location, relatively near train station. Luggage storage was available which was very helpful for us. Lots of food options around the area too. Nice view from rooftop!

United KingdomThe bed was a great size, but the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. The rooftop was only open until 10pm. We stayed for 3 days and it was slightly expensive compared to other options.
We liked the view from our room on the 10th floor which was of the tokyo skytree tower. We were able to request this view in advance and they fulfilled our request which we were very pleased about. The room was trendy and a great space to get settled and we had everything we needed in the room. It was a great location as we could get to the station in 5 mins. The staff were helpful with all our inquiries and the hotel are accommodating for storing luggage.

United KingdomThe rooms are small, but that seems to be the case everywhere in Tokyo.
The hotel is clean, with friendly staff and good facilities. It is in a good area, very close to Tokyo SkyTree and with really easy access to the Metro system to travel to the busier tourist areas of Tokyo.

SingaporeRooms rather small and tight, there isn't even space to lay out our suitcases. Quite pricey for a hotel room that is just good enough to sleep. Even the roof terrace that offers nice views is not very spacious.
Very good convenient location, easily accessible. Hotel staff was very flexible, allowing us to keep baggage in lobby until 8pm as our flight was at midnight. Also tables provided in lobby dining space for us purchase food from elsewhere to eat there. Water, coffee and tea (and biscuits) available at all times.

The hotel gives a modern vibe and is very well designed given the size of the room. You get to push your luggagges underneath the bed for extra space so its not in the way. The hotel also have an amazing rooftop with Skytree view. Free tea and coffee in the lobby area is also a plus.

Hong KongCleaning staff kept wanting to clean room when i was in the room. Breakfast variety is limited. however there is an Aeon supermarket across the road, so i managed to buy fruits and simple breads too.
Room size is considered generous in Toyko for one person. If 2 people - there with be some compromises. the room to walk around is small - as with many other hotel rooms in Tokyo. the roof top is a highlight. i went up daytime and nighttime - both are enjoyable. the views to sky tree are worth the visit room design is worth noting. the cabinets and bed and small table , the sink: all designed nicely within a small space.

United KingdomThere wasn't a division between the main room and the bathroom, save a net curtain and a sliding, frosted "glass" door for the toilet. Although I travelled with my partner, the lack of privacy of the bathroom space was difficult to navigate at times. We would have much preferred a more obvious divide between the main room and the bathroom, e.g. a solid door
The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The design was minimalist, which fit our needs perfectly. There wasn't too much clutter that you may find in other hotels. The location was perfect, close enough to the city centre that travelling wasn't too difficult but far enough away from all the hustle and bustle. For reference, Senso-ji is a 7-10 min train ride or 30 min walk, and Ginza is a 20 min train ride. The rooftop garden was especially peaceful and there was a perfect view of Tokyo Skytree. The nearest train station was a 3 min walk and Tokyo Skytree is an attraction of itself, with a huge shopping centre underneath. There are plenty of amenities so you will not struggle for food, drink, or convenience stores in the nearby area.
