Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Allowing the pets is a plus plus bonus for us and included breakfast was very good as well. The staff is so nice and treats you like family. The fireplace is so cozy and the location is perfect for beginner Skiers.

United StatesEverything! The rooms were clean and comfy. Being able to bring our dog with us was awesome, but the level of dog accommodations blew me away. Dog beds, bowls, towels to wipe their paws. The breakfast was so delicious and the property managers were so kind and accommodating. The yoga studio was amazing and it was the perfect retreat. I can’t wait to go back!

JapanThe hotel is a little far from the centre of Baima Village and the southernmost ski run of Hakuba Happo-One Ski Resort. It takes more than a kilometre to walk. If you go skiing, the boss can drive guests there and walk by himself when he comes back. If you have a car, you don't have to worry at all.
The boss is very enthusiastic and will drive us to the ski resort. The atmosphere of the hotel is very warm, and the layout is more like a home than the hotel. You can rest in the living room on the first floor and enjoy the snow scenery outside the window. Breakfast is delicious. The boss's dog is also very cute.

JapanThe family room we were staying at had a tiny washing sink, so it wasn't comfortable to wash face or brush teeth. Other rooms had larger sink. Another small minus - grand piano was terribly out of tune, would really appreciate having that one fixed.
Great welcoming staff, wonderful breakfast, great common space - a huge living room with a real chimney. Kids could play on their own or watch Netflix. Dry room for skis and gear; comfortable bed, lots of drawers, where we could put our cloth. Quick access to the Happo-one entrance and kids play zone. All in all wonderful experience!

JapanThe walls are a little thin so the place can be a bit noisy if you are unlucky with the other guests. We were lucky, but if you are a light sleeper I recommend bringing earplugs.
Lovely ryokan/guesthouse experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the place was super nice - I particularly liked the large living room with fireplace. Breakfast was delicious - buffet style + a hot dish (we had eggs on day 1, smoked salmon bagel on day 2). The lifts are within walking distance as are some restaurants.

United Statesbecause it is a lodge and it’s a homey space, you can hear a lot from your room. our dog would bark from our room because of all the sounds. we didn’t mind but it’s nice to know if your dog doesn’t do well in that environment. we would absolutely stay here again.
