Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaDon’t bother getting the breakfast included. We tried the Japanese and American breakfasts and they were lackluster at best. Also the rooftop terrace, for which the property is named and photographed, was closed. Unsure if this is a winter thing or not but that was a little disappointing.
Loved the rooms! Spacious and well designed. It was like staying in a treehouse above the city. Great concept and design just a short taxi or monorail from Naha airport.

United StatesSmallish room with no good place to open your suitcase. Would be very difficult with two travelers. If you opted not to have the breakfast there was only green tea in the room, no coffee. No smart TV to connect with your devices and all channels, including BBC news, was in japanese.
Kudos to the architect and designer, It was an aesthetically designed boutique Hotel, rich colors, modern, and warm. I stayed one night across the street and it was $30 more and not as inviting. The staff was cordial and helpful. The American breakfast, one of three to meals to choose from, was diverse and delicious, and the chef and hostess was cordial as well. The hotel is a short walk to the Asakusa station with a direct 1 hr ride to NRT Narita airport via the Keisei Narita Skyaccess line.

JapanThe breakfast organization was a bit messy, the staff seemed quickly overwhelmed, although there were only 3 guests in the restaurant. Nothing a bit more training and review of priorities can’t fix.
The general feeling of the hotel is zen, relaxing, clean and a little hipster. The room (not standard one) was spacious and very comfortable, with a stunning view from the balcony. And the rooftop offers an amazing view as well.

JapanThe Wifi was not really good for work (both 2.4GHz and 5Ghz), with pages taking a long time to load. Content consumption (watching youtube) was okay though. I had to use my phone's 4G to work which was much better.
The lobby music and especially the smell were really nice! The room was comfortable and the daily refresh of amenities was nice. The air conditioning unit in the room as very capable. The staff were really nice and supportive.

The room was very new and clean. The lights and the atmosphere were warm. It is also nice to have a balcony, with two chairs and a small table to spend some time outside.
