Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The area is quiet and relaxed with a short stroll to the closest train station (and it’s only 1 stop from Kyoto station)

United StatesI loved the size of the room. It was the biggest room we had on our trip. Plenty of space for everyone. I loved the fact that my family was able to sleep on a Tatami because it meant our 6 month old daughter could not roll over the bed like how some other hotels have it set up. When I come back to Kyoto I would definitely stay again.

JapanI wished the TV on the wall had a pull out swivel mount as it was stuck in a pretty uncomfortable spot on the wall so some adjustability would be nice.
The hotel was very clean and had easy access. I stayed in the Triple bed suite and it had more than enough room for the 2 of us. The beds were comfy. Kitchen was nice, but my favorite thing was the tub and shower. The shower is amazing. A LOT of water pressure! And the bath was so comfy!!!

AustraliaNot really a great location, but 5-10 minute walk to station (Tofukuji) with easy travel to Kyoto, Gion, Nara etc. Windows have opaque reinforced glass, so there is light but no view at all, which I didn’t like. Laundry is a disaster; 4 washing machines that no one cleans, and while the wash cycle is 35 minutes the drying cycle can take many hours. You are not allowed to empty others’ washing, so the 4 machines can be occupied all day by just a few people, especially when they don’t bother checking and let their dry washing sit there after the cycle ends. There are drying racks in each room, so using the dryer is entirely unnecessary as you can hang dry in the same length of time. There is a large sign on the room saying that staff can arrange taxis and it is best done in advance, but desk staff said that pre-booking taxis was not possible. The hotel overall was messy, with piles of rubbish bags and used towels lying around near the lifts.

CambodiaStaffs need to improve in English speaking. Kitchen facilities comes with small knife (fruit knife) and small fry pan which can be understandable for light cooking only. Window can only open a little to get the air in when cooking need.
Good facilities, small kitchen area for light food cooking. Love the bedding and bathroom. Location surrounding with local neighbour, feeling awesome to walk around to bus stop and convenience store (only 5 mins away).

United StatesThe location makes it a long walk from the station. Luckily it’s close enough for a cab to be rather cheap. People don’t know the location of the hotel well since it is new so please show the driver the Japanese address in your map app or on the website.
This is one of the best values in terms of luxury and room size in Kyoto. Their location in Hiroshima is what sold us on the brand. The executive suite was amazing with the outdoor bath and a tatami area. We also had a washing machine with a built in dryer. This was key. I will always stay here when I go to Kyoto moving forward. My partner had issues with air purity in Osaka so we moved to the Randor because of the cleanliness and the air filters. Highly recommended. If you opt for one of the bigger rooms, you won’t be disappointed. If you have a larger group you’re staying with, it’s really economical.
