Hard to fault really. The ground floor restaurant was a little overpriced for a buffet style, although the range of food offered was great.

Our Family room had two separate areas which was a nice surprise, a bed area and a living area. The pool was warm and quiet, and the restaurant at the top revolved! Giving an amazing view of Kyoto as we had breakfast. There is a shuttle bus to the train station, although it's not far to walk (10 mins). This Hotel has everything you could wish for.

Great Hotel, near train station. Shuttle service was super convenient and reliable, with services available on a regular basis. Excellent food and unbelievable views from the 360 rotating restaurant! The lady at the front desk recommending/advising on how to get around Kyoto was very professional. Good powerful shower system.

As train track was just outside our window there was some noise but we understand this can't be changed, it didn't effect our stay too much

The single thing which we did not like was that we did not receive any pijamas for sleep :) it was the single hotel in Japan where we stayed, in which we did not get pijamas…

The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to be minutes away from Kyoto Central Station. The bed was very confortable, the tv very big, the room size overall good. We had a coffee machine and they supplied us daily with coffee and we loved that we could drink our coffee from bed everyday. The toiletries in the room were also great and diverse. We had access to the hotel pool and that was also great, big and very relaxing. Moreover, there are many very good restaurants accesible directly from the hotel.

Breakfast was pretty good. Got a pretty good selection to choose from. They also have 2 different levels for different type of breakfast according to your liking. My boyfriend proposed to me in the hotel, the reception did well in hiding his plans & opening the door for the photographers & event planners to enter while we were out.

Honestly I was shocked to see some black spots(mildew?) in the grout in bathroom. Totally not expected in Japan.

Great location. Close to Kyoto station and very convenient for any transportation needs. Very walkable area too. Nice breakfast buffet with many options, including traditional Japanese style as well as western style.

Unfortunately the fitness suite and swimming pool opening times were 1:30pm-8:30pm which meant we had to replan our itinerary to come back during the day to use it or cut a couple days short to use it before going out for dinner.

The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. There was an ice machine and drinking water refill station on each floor which was fantastic! The rooms were a very good size with a lot of amenities. The fitness suite was a little bit small but had all the main equipment needed for a good workout and the swimming pool and jacuzzi were excellent. The location was excellent with most large tourist sights within 1hr by public transport or 30mins by taxi, Kyoto station was less than a 10min walk and there was always at least 1 taxi at the front door. The luggage transport system in Japan is a fantastic tool which I will be looking for on other holidays now.

The gym and Swimming pool were open from 13:30 to 20:30 I am not sure why the pool and gym would open 13:30. We couldn’t use these facilities at all The extra bed was uncomfortable and the room size was small

It is a long walk to the nearby train station so be prepared to go back and forth.

Breakfast buffet was excellent as expected. However, they did not have the all day dining as was suggested online. Instead, dinner is only available between 5 and 7-8pm or so. The hotel is quiet and soundproofing was great. It is relatively newer and I really appreciate the ability to refill water on the floor with a water dispenser as this not only saves a trip to the convenience store but also helped minimize plastic waste.
