Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom1. Room is a bit small like other hotel in Tokyo. 2. The toilet design is a bit embarrassing for friends sharing the same room. You can see others using the toilet while taking a shower or using the bowl. 3. No bath towel was provided, and the disposable towel provided was very plastic and uncomfortable. 4. Breakfast only had a few choices.
The location is perfect, very near to the subway station, and there are lots of restaurants nearby.

GermanyThe room we booked was a bit small but still ok for us (since we traveled with backpacks only). So people with big luggage, might want to book a bigger room.
Great location, close to the subway station and many restaurant options. The room was impeccable clean. The staff was one of the nicest we’ve met, from supporting us with the luggage to providing recommendations, for example for lunch. The communication was effective, even after our stay.

United Arab EmiratesThe bed was a bit too soft, the AC was either too cold or too hot, there were no laundrymat in the building. The room smelled like it wasn't ventilated before our arrival.
The location was very convenient, Akasaka district is near multiple areas of interest, the subway station was really close. There were some nice cafes and izakayas nearby. The value for money was fair.

SwitzerlandThe only thing i dont understand is why the double bed room doesnt have clear windows and the twin bedroom does. If you want see more of the experience in this amazing hotel. You can watch a youtube video about this hotel. Just put in the name of the hotel and it pops up. I wanted to write more but i dont have space left :(
This was my second time staying in this hotel and it has to be the best hotel i stayed at in my ten years of travelling. It's my favourite hotel! It is just so perfect! Starting even before the check in. Multiple days before arriving at the hotel i received messages giving me directions to the hotel and offering me to store my luggage if i arrived early. Which is always really convenient and friendly to inform you of this service. The hotel is located about a 4 minute walk from the akasaka-mitsuke station. If you ignored the messages the hotel can be a bit hard to find. After you walked past the centurion hotel. You can locate the hotel on a signpost pointing to the hotel (hotel name) and a restaurant (Tokyo Oven). Which is integrated with the hotel. In the hotel i was greeted very friendly from the staff. Check-in was easy and fast. Hotel staff can speak limited english but good enough to understand everything. But can appear a bit unfriendly but that is clearly not the intention. In the lobby you can find a water dispenser and a very good coffee machine with very strong coffe. Which can be hard to find in japan if you are a coffee enjoyer. In front of the elevator is a ice machine where you can get some ice. Room card guides the elevator to your floor. The room with the double bed is really big for japan standards. Bathroom is very stylish and offers quality products and amenities. The toilet is also on the upper scale. With many functions. Shower is also pleasant to use. The desk is big and features some high quality tea mugs and glasses. Refrigerator is directly underneath it. On the desk there is a ipad which you can use to log in to netflix and watch on the tv. TV is also very big and at the footend of the bed. The bed is probably the comfiest i ever slept on. You just can't find something comparable to this. It's really like you are sleeping on clouds. You also get multiple pillows with plenty of variations and very comfortable sleepwear.

CanadaBy far the comfiest beds of our entire stay in Japan. While the room was small, that was to be expected. The area is great, quiet but lively at night with lots of salary men and women coming out for drinks and food. A short 5 minute walk to 2 different train stations.
