Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hong KongThe onsen is not very large. It is good for less than six people.
This hotel has a lift connecting directly with the subway floor. Hence more convenient with luggage. The breakfast is of good quality and variety. The toilet, wash basin and bath room are also separated and so more convenient.

SingaporeAbout 11 to 15 mins walk from the train station but at least there is direct access to the underground Unimall which connects all the at to the main train stations. That said, there is an immediate subway station just below the hotel.
Well maintained, mordern and very comfortable to stay in. Room size was pretty decent for japanese hotel standards.

United KingdomI didn’t have breakfast due to lack of vegetarian options.
The hotel was located near Nagoya station and connected by an underground mall which was really handy to walk to the station when it was raining. We visited for the F1 so it was great to be close by Nagoya Station. The staff are brilliant, super helpful and the room is comfortable with some nice amenity touches,

IsraelHaving to change elevators in the lobby to get to our room was a bit annoying but it's a small thing
The location was great, close to train and to restaurants. The room was small but a smart modern design made good use of the space.

AustraliaCan’t think of anything to be honest !
Short walk from Nagoya station with its own direct entry way from the subway basement (Uni Mall) which is super convenient since it was raining heavily when we arrived. 7 Eleven and Ichiran Ramen very close by. Lots of nearby eateries. Nice small onsen with free icy poles afterwards which is always a hit. Free steam iron to borrow too with laundry facilities available at the hotel. Overall super convenient, nice compact room and helpful staff (who assisted sending luggage to our next destination). Would definitely stay again. Note the lobby of hotel is 8th floor of the Sanco building.

JapanIt’s near the station, and you can get there underground or overground very easily. The rooms are not big (like in most Japanese hotels) but the lay-out is very good. It’s clean, modern, and very comfortable. The bed is very good and at reception you can pick an extra pillow that suits your needs. Also at reception is a wide range of amenities, so you’ll never be without shampoos and creams. The spa has a onsen bath large enough for 4 to 6 people, but when I was there during a busy week, I never was in there with more than 1 other person. There’s reasonably spacey shower/bathroom which was very comfortable. The room had a large window with a view over the city. The nearest metrostation is right at the bottom of the building, and there are plenty of restaurants and convenient-stores nearby. I would come back here and can recommend this hotel to anyone who just wants a great place to go to when in Nagoya.

AustraliaI didn't like the fact that the spa was not accessible to my partner (who has tattoos, and in his country it is seen more as art not as gangster activity). I have lived in Japan in the past and I understand the connection between tattoos and hot spring/spa but i was hoping to introduce it to him as it is a part of japanese culture I really love. I hope that maybe there can be allocated time slots for people who have tattoos even at a limited time. I understand however that it may be seen as compromising culture. And to be fair, most spas/hot springs were like this. It was just the only thing I felt sad about.
The location was great and convenient the basement level goes right into the shopping mall which goes right into JR (which mind you is still a maze, but thats not the hotel's fault). The staff were great, really sweet, and endearing. The staff were proficient at English but understood intuitively that I wanted to learn and practice my japanese and they were more than gracious to assist kindly. Both I and my partner really enjoyed the body/ skincare products. The pillow set was great but I was giddy to find that there were other options for different types of sleepers. And also extra things could be loaned in case they were needed. And they had free ice blocks available after the hot springs. I visited a number of different hotels with different price points and target demographic - from budget to luxury and I feel that this one offered the best in value and experience. I'm giving it a 9 only because of 2 reasons - the tattoo issue and selfishly - the fact that I don't want it to become so popular that it gets booked out! But they deserve recognition!

Hong KongThe room that I stayed in is really only suitable for single occupation. It is a bit tight for two but really great for one. Other than that, there is really nothing much not to like about this hotel.
The location of the hotel was excellent, close to Nagoya Station and connected by subway. Great place to stay if you intend to take trains to other locations around the area.

JapanI stayed for three nights and got to know the area well. It is very conveniently located. Although it is not right next to the station, you can walk underground, which was nice since I was there in the middle of winter. I did not take any meals there, but I appreciated the public bath and comfortable room. They put me on a high floor so I could enjoy the view.

ThailandThe standard-sized Japanese rooms generally accommodate only one large suitcase at a time, but the advantage is that you can store your suitcase under the bed.
The service staff is excellent, there's an onsen, and they provide amenities for you to use. Additionally, you can borrow extra pillows. Convenient travel is ensured as you can take the elevator to B1 to connect to the walkway leading to JR and Meteitsu train.
