Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThere is a cleaning fee of JPY 7,000 on top of hotel room charge. Not sure if we can borrow luggage stand but wish to have it at the room.
We first booked for four nights and we enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay to 11 nights. The hotel is newly opened in Oct/Nov and the facilities are great. Check in and check out were seamless. Front desk staff were nice, helpful, young and welcoming. They speak great English. The rooms although small they are very functional. The shower water was strong, warm and stable. There were plenty of kitchen cookware and utensils so we cooked our breakfast everyday. The location is central. 5 min walk to Ginza line and 6 min walk to JK, JR lines and 15 min walk to skyliner that goes directly to Narita. There are family mart, coffee shops and restaurant that steps away. Parco, Montbell, Uniqlo etc. shops 6 min by foot. Since we stayed during the holiday season, there were happy hours for Xmas and NYE. We also got a box of bakery as New Year's gift, what a nice surprise!

CanadaI think the bathroom sink drain was a bit slow. Most times, even after a quick wash of the hands, there would be a pool of water collecting in the sink because the drain was too slow. This left a residue. We ended up using the kitchen sink to wash our hands and brush our teeth.
Loved the spacious room, the flexibility of adding an extra bed with the flip down option and the sofa. We thought the kitchen was very well equipped and were very impressed at the cooking and eating utensils in the room. The bathroom was very spacious as well. Staff were very friendly and always did their best to accommodate our requests. Staff had very good English.

Very well located in the centre of Toyko. Very close to transport, shops, cafes. Staff are so friendly and helpful and welcoming. The hotel has all the amenities you need. Room was spacious for the four of us. We were very comfortable. Highly recommend Section L for a anyone wanting to stay at comfortable and convenient location.

Location is very good. 1 minute from okachimachi Station. Lots of 7 eleven, lawson and family mart, eateries and shopping mall. Kaisei Ueno station is a comfortable 8mins walk through the underground subway.

Friendly staff, Loved the room size, layout and design of the room. Especially the separation of the shower from the toilet. The kitchenette is fully equipped with essential and useful items- it would be even better if it came with a kitchen towel. Great location- a short 3min walk from Okachimachi station which is conveniently on the Yamanote line. Additional bonus- there is luggage storage free of charge.

SingaporeQuibbles: Could have had more hooks, places to hang winter coats by the entrance. The one they had was quickly overwhelmed. We had to get creative with drying our laundry, almost running out of space - but to be fair I'm not sure how much anyone could do better.
Our second stay at a Section L. The first was wonderful, and the second was even better! Location was great - on a relatively quiet street very close to much more jumping areas, FamilyMart literally at your doorstep, and train stations, shopping malls are just around the corner. Check in/out was a breeze, staff very friendly. Brand new premises, and everything was IMMACULATELY clean. Kitchen was amply stocked with utensils, full fridge with freezer, microwave, kettle, filtered drinking water from the kitchen tap (no need to buy/lug large water bottles) Family room was large enough for our family of 4 - dining table with 5 seats, standing shower with separate bathtub (which could be set to automatically fill up with a timer, so that you could return to a full tub ready for you!). Space under the beds to store luggage. Very comfortable beds, warm duvets. Airconditioning was easy to use and kept the whole room comfortable through our winter trip.

Location wise It was very convenient to Okatchimatchi station, and there are lots of food places around so for someone new to Tokyo it was lovely. The property itself was very tidy and had good facilities including a microwave and washing machine which was handy. The biggest praise has to go to the staff who were very helpful. We accidentally broke a glass item in the room on our last night and they were able to help with dustpan/brush and vacuum to get it all re-cleaned. They also gave us the option on our arrival day when we were very early to check in early for a modest fee which was well worth it. (And I appreciated that they could see we were tired and were able to offer a solution). They also had happy hour drinks one night we were there which was a lovely touch.
