Large traditional room with a balcony. The beautiful view of the forest is complimented by the sound of water in the distance. - Friendly staff, communication in English was partially possible. - Very scenic location of the the outside onsen by the river. Unfortunately it does not include a shower and can only be reserved for 30 minutes per day. Additionally there is are two onsens located in the building. These come with a shower. The daily limit here is 50 minutes.

South KoreaHow quickly the time flew..😂 In the dinner time, there was a dish with two fried fish and their eggs. But my family don’t really enjoy fried food, so I felt bad for the fish and it felt like a waste. Maybe the ryokan can ask for the preference ahead of time so that they don’t waste animal lives.
The staffs were very friendly and the location was reasonable to find with public transportation. Our room was facing the forest so it was very peaceful and quiet. And the dinner menu was never-ending, so we really felt like they put a lot of effort in the service! The riverside onsen was such a special experience as well!

MalaysiaThe way they serve dinner, didn’t follow the sequence of food serving. Shabu shabu was given together with appertizer. No alternative for beef as I don’t take it. Could have ask the guests for any allergy or diet restriction and to replace it with something else.

Hong KongAn enjoyable and memorable stay with its lovely scenery, delicious food and superb service. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Most of the staff are able and willing to communicate in English which is rare in Japan. Apart from the standard shuttle service between the bus stop and hotel, the manager even offered to drive us to Kirishima Shrine which saved us a lot of time.

Staying at this Ryokan was a fantastic experience. We opted for the set dinner and breakfast, which were elaborate and delicious, and enjoyed the riverside and indoor family onsens. I was expecting some formality, but very friendly staff (English spoken) and relaxed atmosphere. Very good written information about Japanese bathing customs etc. Also, although not cheap, very good value.

The facility was located in a beautiful, forest with a flowing river. The location was remote so I would recommend going by car so you really enjoy the beautiful nature. The staff were very attentive and kind. We definitely enjoyed the presentation of the food and it was very tasty!
