I didn't have breakfast at the hotel because the restaurant was so busy that people had to queue outside. I had a "Sakurajima view" room but this turned out to be a waste of money as the volcano was shrouded in cloud for all three days that I stayed.

Compared to Sheratons I've stayed in in other countries, this one is especially luxurious, with a large room and a big comfortable bed. The hotel onsen is very pleasant with an outside section (though no view because it faces a main road). There is a choice of restaurants - I ate at Satsumagma which was outstandingly good.

Awesome experience. Fabulous rooms and great Onsen. Very helpful and friendly English speaking staff. Perfect to relax and connect. Great dining facilities. Worth every Penny.

The view of Sakurajima from our room! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The late check at 12:00 PM was appreciated. The area was very nice and the free shuttle to and from Kagoshimachuo station was a good touch as well.

The customer service was amazing! My son left his wallet in a taxi and the hotel staff hinted it down from the taxi company and mailed it the same day to us in Kyoto. The onsen was very clean and warm. Rooms were large by Japanese standards and beautiful views. Would definitely stay again!

Not the most convenient location but there is a tram stop right outside the hotel and a shuttle bus to/from the station

Very nice room on 9th floor with an excellent view of Sakurajima, friendly and helpful staff and good buffets. Also the shuttle from the train station was very useful

1. We stayed in the hotel for three days but the breakfast buffet menu was the same every day...they didn't change a single dish... 2. The hot spring is small and very crowded after dinner

The check in procedure. We had to queue for about 20 minutes. The receptionist was not very welcoming and we didn't communicate well with her. Also we had trouble communicating with the bell girl. We also had to carry our own bags to our room as she was not attentive.

Don't think twice, it's an amazing hotel! My wife has gluten intolerance and the staff of the hotel was accompanying her and giving all the support to have gluten and lactose free food!! Amazing!

Not as centrally located as preferred but the shuttle makes up for this

The room was very spacious for Japan standards, the foot spa was a great way to end the day and the breakfast was a good spread! Whilst its not centrally located per se, there is a free shuttle that brings you to and fro the main station so that's a bonus.

The onsen was nice, though too busy and the noise from the restaurant terrace was noticeable in the outside pool which was a bit annoying. It's a bit too expensive.

Amazing view to Sakurajima, we were literally glued to the window 😄very comfortable bed, quality materials, enough packing space, spotless clean new room. Their Udon was my absolute favorite udon that I've ever eaten. Some employees can speak English very well and they were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much, thank you!

I wished the hotel would provide the appropriate gear like a yukata for guests than to ask them to wear their own everyday clothes to the “onsen”.

Being new, Sheraton Kagoshima has the latest in facilities. The room we were in was spacious and had a spectacular view of the volcano Sakurajima. Best of all, it has an onsen that uses genuine mineral water with enclosed and open pools.

Bathroom ventilation (not related to aircon) was awfully noisy. We checked two other rooms with friendly and supportive staff - and moved then to another more quiet room- unfortunately in 6th floor (down from 16th) viewing a park deck
